In their own words
CardanoTrace
CardanoTrace is an open-source API and SDK for building supply-chain traceability solutions on the Cardano blockchain. Plutus smart contracts record product lifecycle events on-chain, covering events, lots, assets and policies. Its stated scope is end to end, with examples ranging from farm-to-fork supply chains to pharmaceutical logistics. The system uses modular, event-driven components designed for GS1- and ISO-aligned data, portability, and connection with existing systems and standards. Developers can use typed SDKs, including TypeScript, clean APIs and end-to-end examples. The repository describes a FastAPI REST API with documented endpoints, a QR service linking codes to blockchain transaction IDs, and a Python SDK. Local deployments list PostgreSQL for production and SQLite for development and testing, with Swagger and ReDoc documentation. CardanoTrace is MIT-licensed; API development is in progress, while the QR service and Python SDK are upcoming.
Scantrust
Scantrust provides connected packaging and e-label tools for companies working to engage customers, address counterfeiting and improve supply-chain transparency. Its product scope includes industrial goods, consumer packaged goods, wine and beverage, and lubricants. E-label plans include compliance templates, translations into 24 languages, customizable landing pages and content updates that do not require QR code reprinting. An e-label is tied to one SKU, though units of that SKU can share it across countries. The Enterprise plan lists smart redirection, analytics, bulk creation, QR Manager, custom URL and domain, onboarding and user teams. Scantrust also describes Digital Product Passport tools using QR generation, URL management, landing pages and dynamic content. Its REST API can connect passports to PIM, ERP and e-commerce data. Business 30 costs €230 a year for 30 e-labels, Business 50 is €360 a year for 50, and Business 100 is €500 a year for 100; prices exclude VAT. A 90-day trial is listed.
