In their own words
CargoSphere
CargoSphere is a cloud-based rate management solution and confidential Rate Mesh network for carriers, freight forwarders, NVOs, and shippers. Its SUDS tool loads static carrier-rate files into the cloud database for in-house contract and rate management. Rate Mesh lets carriers, forwarders, and shippers distribute rates privately to selected partners, with future updates delivered to established connections in real time. Forwarders can search rates from their own contracts, agents, and co-loaders, then build and format quotes in HTML or Excel. The platform supports internal RFQs as well as customer RFQs and guest access to sell rates. Activity tracking and reporting cover response times, win rates, and process bottlenecks. The Quote Module includes tariff publishing and Negotiated Rate Arrangement functions, with duplicate checks intended to support FMC compliance. Listed integrations include CargoWise One and CaroTrans; a carrier API transfers contracts, amendments, and surcharge tariffs. Training, rollout coordination, and managed contract services are available. CargoSphere is a web product with pricing on request.
Trimble Freight Marketplace
Trimble Freight Marketplace is a web platform for sourcing freight through contracted tenders and spot procurement. Shippers can use RFQs, mini bids, spot requests, one-round or multi-round tenders, and instant spot events, with carrier insights, ratings, and market information to inform decisions. Carriers can find contracted or spot opportunities and present and price capacity using performance, service, fleet, and market data. Trimble describes an exclusive, verified network with access to thousands of carriers and says onboarding can bring users live in minutes. Listed capabilities include rate validation and comparison, carrier payments, contract management, carrier bid management, multimodal freight, and advanced analytics. The platform is presented for shippers and carriers, with brokers also described as participants. Pricing is on request; no amount is listed. Related Trimble offerings describe scenario analysis, automated offer validation, AI-based spot buying, carrier profiling, and historical lane-rate insights that account for seasonality and transit time. Trimble's Trust Portal lists ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and SOC 2 Type 2 certifications, but the page does not identify which apply to Freight Marketplace.
