Cartoonize
Cartoonize turns photos into cartoons, sketches, and other artwork, with AI-powered effects and editing tools. Users can remove backgrounds, crop and resize images, edit text, adjust color, draw, and work with layers. Artistic options include cartoon, sketch, painting, digital-art, filter, and overlay effects. The service lists over 4 million high-resolution stock photos and over 50,000 vector graphics and icons. Projects can be exported as JPG, PNG, or PDF at up to 400 DPI. Editing is available online and offline through a downloadable PWA app, and the web platform supports Mac, Windows PC, and Linux with a suitable machine and internet connection. Free Basic offers essential effects and features without registration. Pro costs $6.99 a year, billed annually at $83.88, or $9.99 a month. Basic and Pro users may commercially benefit from projects and photos they create or edit. Free mobile apps are available for iOS and Android, but subscription management is limited to desktop or PC.
GenToon
GenToon turns text story descriptions into comics, including four-panel formats, vertical-scroll webtoons and instatoons. It supports 1:1, 4:5, 2:3 and 9:16 aspect ratios. AI selects panel layouts and dialogue and positions speech bubbles. GenToon says a character keeps the same face across episodes and art styles. Its site lists more than 1,500 styles, including webtoon, manga, watercolor, pixel and noir, and support for 21 languages in stories, dialogue and speech bubbles. New sign-ups receive 150 credits without providing a card. The service runs on web, iOS and Android, with the same account across them. An MCP connector supports ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI. GenToon says prompts, reference images and generated outputs are not used to train AI models. Its privacy policy says analytics load when a page loads and that no consent banner currently appears first. The free plan costs nothing and includes 150 credits per month and 20 characters. Lite costs $10 a month with 800 credits per month and 20 characters.
