In their own words
Caspio
Caspio is an AI platform for building custom business applications, including databases, portals, dashboards, and workflow tools. Its visual builder creates forms, reports, charts, and calendars; it can also generate an application's data model, interface, and roles from a description. Applications use a SQL Server data core with role-level and record-level security, and can be hosted by Caspio or deployed on a customer's website, CMS, or portal. The platform provides REST API access, webhooks, and extensions, and lists Zapier, Make, n8n, and Keragon as workflow integration platforms. Pricing plans include unlimited application users without per-user fees. Caspio says plans include encryption, role-based access controls, and secure cloud hosting. A free trial is available, but there is no free plan. Enterprise is described as providing governance, security, and guaranteed performance. HIPAA/Compliance is an add-on to a standard plan at $500 a year, billed for a one-year term; it includes compliant infrastructure, a signed BAA, encryption at rest, an audit trail, and 21-day backups. Caspio says it is annually certified for HIPAA, SOC 2 Type II, and GDPR, and lists PCI DSS Level 1 validation.
Matrify
Matrify is a web application for keeping structured records about action items, assets, customers, products, and other information. Users build tables with fields such as text, dates, numbers, images, video, and comments. Multi-column search, shareable filters, links between records, and validation rules help organize and constrain data. Tables can be shared with team members or friends, with permissions set for what they can do. Matrify imports and exports CSV, stores its database in XML, and provides a RESTful API for reading, writing, deleting, and querying data. It can run as self-hosted server software or in cloud hosting on Amazon AWS, with a dedicated server for each team. Supported platforms include Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, web, and Windows; the maker lists Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Internet Explorer. The free license allows up to 300 records and three users. Paid annual licenses start at $10 a year for 1–10 users; a perpetual license for that group costs $20, paid once.
