Overview

The platform covers several stages of a webinar: registration pages, recorded sessions, polls and Q&A sit alongside its three event modes. Live events have no time limit on any plan, a practical advantage for sessions whose length is hard to predict. The free plan is genuinely ongoing, but its audience and recording limits make it a test bed rather than a full event setup for most hosts.

Key features

Hosts can run live, automated and on-demand webinars. Starter includes one autowebinar per day, while session recordings on that plan are capped at 20 minutes; that combination suits short demonstrations better than long presentations or a substantial recording library. The service supports up to 5,000 attendees on Enterprise, so its event capacity can grow well beyond the free tier.

One-click invitations let hosts bring in co-hosts and speakers, with capacity reaching 12 speakers. Paid accounts allow unlimited additional team members and per-area permissions, which helps organizations separate event duties from administration. Google Calendar and Outlook synchronization supports scheduling, and paid plans add a public API for integrations and data export.

Connections are encrypted, with passwords and permissions available to control access. MyOwnConference operates in the EU, uses EU-based Tier III data centers and supports GDPR rights. Support ranges from email and live chat to priority queues, with dedicated support for Enterprise.

Pricing

Starter is free forever and requires no payment card. It provides five attendee places, 500 MB of storage, two speakers, one autowebinar per day and recordings of up to 20 minutes. It is useful for trying the workflow or hosting a very small event, but the attendee cap quickly rules it out for public-facing webinars.

Business — 60 attendees costs €33.00 per month when billed monthly and includes 10 hours of continuous recording. It is the clearest step up for recurring events with a modest audience, though its 60-person limit is restrictive for larger sessions. A Business 60 attendees option is also offered at €26.40 billed yearly and includes automated webinars.

One-time access costs €11.00 for 24-hour access, with no subscription required. It covers live events for audiences from 20 to 1,000 attendees and specifies 20 attendees and 24 hours; this is the more fitting route for occasional events than an ongoing subscription. Enterprise uses custom pricing and supports up to 5,000 attendees, 2160p recording and up to 1 TB of storage, with premium support.

Plans can be purchased daily, monthly or annually, and any plan can be tried for 24 hours without a subscription. The stated 24-hour test period is not a separate refund policy. Live events have no duration cap on any plan, but Starter’s recording cap remains 20 minutes.

Platforms

Attendees can join through browsers on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS, giving hosts a broad reach without requiring attendees to install a dedicated app. Presenters need a downloadable app only for screen sharing, and that app does not run on Linux. Linux presenters who must share their screens should choose another workflow or platform.

Who it's for

MyOwnConference fits hosts who want multiple webinar formats, browser attendance across desktop and mobile platforms, and a way to move from a free test to larger paid events. It is less suitable for Linux presenters who depend on screen sharing, or for anyone expecting Starter to accommodate more than five attendees or record sessions longer than 20 minutes.

Pros and cons

Pros: Live events have no time limit on any plan, so long sessions do not run into a scheduled cutoff.
Pros: Attendees can join from browsers on five platforms, including Linux, without needing the presenter app.
Pros: The free plan has no expiry or card requirement, making it a low-commitment way to try webinar basics.
Cons: Starter is capped at five attendees and 20-minute recordings, limiting its usefulness for real audience events and full-length sessions.
Cons: Linux presenters cannot use the app required for screen sharing, despite browser attendance being supported on Linux.
Cons: The monthly Business plan accommodates only 60 attendees, so larger recurring events require a different plan.

Alternatives

Compare webinar software if you want to weigh other event platforms before choosing.

LiveWebinar is worth considering for a lifetime free account with up to five attendees and 30-minute sessions.
Webex App is a free option for meetings of up to 100 attendees, with a 40-minute limit per meeting.
Zoom Scheduler suits readers looking for booking pages and calendar connections rather than webinar formats.
Vimeo is a video-oriented alternative, with a free plan that includes one seat and 1 GB of storage.
Zoho Webinar offers a free plan for up to 20 attendees and 60 minutes per webinar.
ClickMeeting is an alternative to consider if you prefer a paid service with a free trial.
Livestorm has a free plan with 30 attendee credits per year and a 30-minute maximum event duration.
Shindig is another freemium option for event hosting.

Verdict

Choose MyOwnConference if you need live, automated and on-demand webinars, unrestricted live-session duration and broad browser access, with a path from a no-cost trial tier to events of up to 5,000 attendees. Look elsewhere if Linux screen sharing is essential or if Starter’s five-person audience and 20-minute recordings cannot cover your needs.
