Catalyst Tax Insights helps individuals, families, and financial professionals model the tax impact of major financial decisions through projections and scenario comparisons. Users enter key information for a base projection, add scenarios to compare, and can usually produce a projection in a few minutes. The service generates tax insights that can be saved for later review. Listed calculators cover required minimum distributions, real estate sales and purchases, self-employment, IRA phase-outs, time value, and education costs. Personal and Plus editions are for individuals and families; Pro is for financial advisors, CPAs, and other financial professionals. Pro and Enterprise plans let users manage insights across a client base and share data with colleagues in their organization. The product runs on the web, and free and paid plans include email support. Personal is free; Plus costs $49 a year.
