In their own words

CatapultCMS

CatapultCMS is a K–12 communication platform for school websites, family updates, and district-branded mobile apps. Its CMS provides a unified dashboard, drag-and-drop editing, mobile-responsive templates, role-based permissions, calendars, analytics, and staff directories. The company says its CMS includes ADA/WCAG accessibility tools. Catapult Connect sends messages by voice, text, email, push notification, web, and social media; it also supports scheduled messages, two-way replies, engagement reports, and SIS-based audience targeting. Connect can sync contact lists with student information systems, with described options including Aeries, ClassLink, PowerSchool, CSV files, and secure SFTP uploads. The district app is available for iOS and Android with push alerts, calendars, personalized feeds, and CMS and Connect updates. Catapult also lists integration with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. The company says the platform is ADA and FERPA compliant. Pricing is available on request, and the Connect agreement sets a 12-month initial term unless a signed quote specifies otherwise. Schoolzine SZapp

Schoolzine SZapp is a mobile hub for schools to communicate with parents. Schools can select modules such as newsletters, notices, calendars and timetables, then send targeted push notifications about school news and events. The app also supports a customizable home page, event bookings and document distribution. Schoolzine says SZapp can link with payment gateways, social media platforms and other school systems, though it does not name those systems on the product page. The app supports Apple and Android devices and is not available in desktop browsers. Schools may limit access to registered users, and locked schools or groups require a four-digit passcode. The product page states that SZapp offers multiple authentication methods and GDPR compliance; Schoolzine says it completed the Safer Technologies for Schools assessment process. SZapp is free to download and use for parents through participating schools. School pricing is available on request. Schoolzine describes its technical support as unlimited and says it supports schools in over 20 countries in multiple languages. The company was founded in January 2007.
