Causely

Causely gives operations agents a live causal model of a system to help diagnose incidents and act proactively. Its causal inference identifies upstream causes behind cascading symptoms and is described as deterministic and explainable. Agents can traverse the causal graph to assess blast radius and compare behavior before and after deployments; they connect to the model through MCP. Causely ingests traces, metrics, logs, and alerts from existing observability tools, with OpenTelemetry, Datadog, and Prometheus named as examples. Its supported technologies include agents, telemetry sources, installation options, and workflow destinations such as Slack and Microsoft Teams. Deployment options include Kubernetes, Docker, hybrid SaaS, and bring-your-own-cloud. Causely says raw source data remains in the customer environment while distilled symptom state goes to its SaaS backend. BYOC can keep the entire application in the customer environment, including in air-gapped deployments. Professional Edition is $2,000 a month and covers up to 500 services, with 30 days of data retention and standard hybrid deployment. Enterprise pricing is custom.

Dell APEX AIOps Incident Management

Dell APEX AIOps Incident Management is a cloud-based service for detecting, prioritizing, and resolving incidents for DevOps, site reliability engineering, and IT operations. It correlates events from multiple sources, filters duplicate alerts and noise, and supports root-cause identification. Metric anomaly detection uses dynamic thresholds; AI and machine learning analyze patterns, anticipate possible issues, and recommend responses. Named monitoring integrations include Amazon CloudWatch, Azure Application Insights, AppDynamics, New Relic, and Zabbix. Notifications can be sent to PagerDuty, Slack, and ServiceNow. Users can create customizable dashboards and view reports on incident trends, performance metrics, and improvement areas. Dell describes the service as API-first, with endpoints corresponding to interface actions. Dell or its subcontractors host and operate it, and Dell states it is available 24 hours per day. The subscription term is one year from activation, though evaluation services may be shorter. Pricing is stated in a customer quote. Standard, Enhanced, and Premium support are offered; for Severity 1 issues, initial response is 30 minutes with Standard and 15 minutes with Enhanced or Premium, all 24x7.
