In their own words
CGAxis
CGAxis is a library of production-ready 3D models, PBR materials, HDRI maps, decals, and imperfections for archviz, games, and VFX. Its catalog lists 13,659 assets, with new items added every week. More than 100 models, materials, and HDRIs are free to use without credits or a subscription. Visitors can inspect 747 assets in a browser-based 3D preview by spinning and zooming, without downloads or plugins. The free CGAxis Hub desktop app browses and previews the catalog, then can append selected assets into a running 3D application. It lists integrations with Blender, Cinema 4D, 3ds Max, Maya, SketchUp, Unreal, and Unity. A separate Blender add-on supports Blender 4.0–5.0 on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Downloads include a royalty-free commercial license that remains usable after a subscription ends. Paid options include Essential at $16 a month (billed $190 billed yearly), credit bundles, and individual or team subscriptions. The Studio plan provides separate accounts per seat.
KitBash3D
Cargo is KitBash3D’s desktop 3D asset manager, providing access to the KitBash3D and Greyscalegorilla libraries. Assets include textured models, game-ready assets, props, vehicles, and materials. Text search, image search, similar-item discovery, and random selection help users browse, while one-click import sends assets into supported 3D applications and prepares geometry and materials for the scene. Cargo 3.0 uses a USD schema for asset standardization and MaterialX for material workflows. Supported applications include Blender, Unreal Engine, Cinema 4D, Maya, Houdini, and 3ds Max, with versions and renderers varying by application. Cargo runs on Windows and macOS; listed Mac requirements specify Apple Silicon and macOS 11 Big Sur or later. Minimum requirements include 32 GB RAM, a 6-core CPU, and 15 GB of disk space per Kit; Windows also requires an 8 GB VRAM GPU. The app can be used without a subscription and includes 100+ free assets. Paid library access starts at $59 a year, billed $708 billed yearly.
