CHAI
CHAI is a social AI chat platform for discovering, creating, and sharing AI characters. Its library has more than 25 million user-created characters across genres such as anime, RPG, horror, and comfort. Users can build and customise characters, and community rankings highlight popular ones. CHAI says its in-house language models are designed for creativity, helpfulness, and intelligence, and run on its own cluster of more than 5,000 GPUs. The service is available on Android, iOS, and the web; the web version works in a mobile browser without an app download. The separate mobile app and web platform do not share data. Accounts can be created using Google, Facebook, or Apple authentication. Conversation data may be used to improve models after personal identifiers are removed, and app data is processed and stored in the United States. CHAI is intended for adults and moderates user-created content with automated filters and manual review. Its application is not tailored for industry-specific regulations such as HIPAA or FISMA. A free plan supports character chats; paid plans include options with priority responses and other plan-specific benefits.
