Overview

The three apps divide work among organisation-wide initiatives (Change portfolio), change-manager planning (Change plan) and field feedback (Change mission). That span is valuable when leaders need to follow a change from intended benefit through delivery to adoption evidence; it is more than a fit for teams seeking only a task list.

Change mission files can be opened on a phone without an account. Agents can record what people say on a device and return findings as a file, lowering the barrier to gathering feedback in the field. Cohentis says its apps require no installation. The maker, Geert Barandat, has led IT programmes, portfolios and change in Belgian organisations for more than twenty years; Cohentis is headquartered in Lembeek (Halle), Belgium.

Key features

Benefits and adoption

Change portfolio maps benefits to initiatives and tracks each benefit’s starting point, target and latest measurement. This helps portfolio owners distinguish delivery activity from progress toward intended outcomes. Teams can define leading indicators, target values and measurement rhythms; the app schedules checks and flags those due or overdue, making follow-up part of the plan rather than an informal reminder.

Cohentis does not directly measure change fatigue. It shows initiatives and what comes up by group, which can help teams identify whom to speak with, but leaves the assessment to them.

Planning and evidence

Change plan combines a risk register with a timeline for sub-plans, milestones, measurement points and dependencies. That structure suits change managers coordinating interdependent work and outcome checks. The evidence trail links actions to risks, insights to conversations, and decisions to what prompted them, helping retain the rationale behind a plan as it develops.

Privacy and AI

For Free and Pro, project data stays in a file on the user’s device rather than in an account or on a server. Cohentis says it does not track user behaviour; anonymous usage counts contain no project data. It has no AI inside the app. Users may bring their own AI to help fill an initial portfolio, but must confirm each line.

Pricing

Free costs 0.00 USD per free and includes Change plan, Change portfolio and Change mission. One person can run one change project, with no account. It is a meaningful way for a solo change manager to use the connected workflow, but the one-project and one-person caps rule it out for a team or multi-project programme.

Pro costs 20.00 USD per month, billed per change manager / month. One licence covers all three apps; returned mission files are applied to the plan, reports have no watermark, and users get a strategy-to-front-line portfolio image. It suits managers who need the complete workflow and those added outputs, though pricing per manager means team use scales with the number of managers.

Enterprise has custom pricing, billed on request. It adds own-server hosting, file or own-database storage, single sign-on and apps in the organisation’s house style. This is the relevant tier for organisations requiring those deployment or identity options; it is not a published-price alternative to Pro.

Platforms

Cohentis supports Android, iOS, web and self-hosted deployment. Phone use is especially relevant to Change mission’s field capture, while self-hosting is an Enterprise option for organisations that need their own server.

Who it's for

Portfolio managers, directors and department heads can use the portfolio view to connect initiatives with expected benefits. Project and programme managers, change managers and change agents are also named audiences: the plan supports sequencing and risk work, while missions provide a way to gather observations from affected groups. The suite is strongest where these roles need to share a thread from strategy to frontline evidence, not where direct fatigue scoring is a requirement.

Pros and cons

Connected portfolio-to-field workflow: benefits, plans, measures and mission findings sit in one three-app approach, useful for coordinated change rather than isolated planning.
Device-held Free and Pro project files: no account or server holds the change project, a practical privacy advantage for teams comfortable managing files locally.
Free plan is tightly capped: one person and one project limits its usefulness for teams and organisations running concurrent change.
No direct fatigue measure or in-app AI: teams must assess fatigue themselves and cannot rely on built-in AI to populate or interpret plans.

Alternatives

Browse Change Management Software for the wider category. Choose ChangeFolio instead if a web-based option with a free forever plan and free trial fits better; its free tier allows one user, one active company and 1,000 active stakeholders. Avanqi is another web-based free option for evaluation, with one active change project, one active member and core portfolio, stakeholder and document workspaces.

Giva ChangeManager is a paid alternative with a free trial, Android, iOS, web and API support, and a Professional plan at 76.00 USD per year. Consider OCM Solution if guest view-only access is the priority: its guest licence is 5.00 USD per month per guest. ChangeVU offers a free trial of a single-use application, while AMIGO has a Contributor plan at 20.00 USD per month, billed annually, for named-user task execution.

AlignHQ may suit teams prioritising stakeholder mapping and readiness assessments; its Starter plan is 30.00 USD per month per user. For reporting-oriented needs, The Change Compass has an SMB plan at 995.00 USD per month with data input and reporting, a dashboard, basic support and three users.

Verdict

Choose Cohentis if your change work needs a traceable link from initiatives and risks to measured benefits and field conversations, and device-held project files matter to you. The Free plan is a sensible solo, single-project entry; teams should weigh Pro’s per-manager cost against the need for all three apps. Look elsewhere if you need direct change-fatigue measurement, in-app AI, or a free plan that supports a team.
