Overview

Videeo is a Shopify video-commerce service combining shoppable clips, live selling and branded mobile apps. It suits Shopify merchants who want video to connect directly to product discovery and checkout, especially brands investing in more than one sales format. The trade-off is a set of separate plan ladders and a 5% fee on live-sale revenue.

Key features

Shoppable video

Popclips lets merchants tag up to five products in a clip, so shoppers can add items to cart without leaving the video. Videeo can place relevant clips on product pages, or surface them in custom carousels and a swipe-up feed. Real-time syncing of Shopify products, collections, inventory, prices, images and discounts helps keep those experiences aligned with the store.

The free tier allows unlimited uploads and storage but caps viewing at 1,000 per month, making it a low-risk way to start rather than a substantial traffic allowance. Popclips Basic raises the cap to 15,000 views and adds custom carousels and Instagram and TikTok imports. Premium raises it to 125,000 views, with category and collection carousels, likes and like counts, and the option to remove Videeo branding. The upgrade is most compelling for stores that need more reach or finer merchandising; smaller stores may not need those extras.

Live selling and mobile checkout

Live events can run on a Shopify website, the mobile app, Facebook or Instagram. Scheduling, guest appearances and three-month replays support planned events and later viewing, while in-stream checkout and replay sales connect the format to purchases. The 5% live-sale revenue fee applies as an extra usage or success charge, so merchants should weigh it against the sales channel's potential contribution.

Mobile apps integrate with Shopify checkout and ShopPay and support guest checkout. That can give shoppers a direct route from branded app content to purchase, but the app plans impose total download caps. iOS is included in Mobile App Basic; Android is available from Pro upward.

Pricing

Videeo has a free offering, a 15-day trial and paid plans from 29.99 USD per month. The products are priced separately, so a merchant should match the plan to the format it intends to use rather than assume one subscription covers video, live selling and an app.

Popclips Free: 1,000 views per month, unlimited uploads and storage, and up to five product tags per video. A useful way to establish whether shoppable clips fit a store, but the view ceiling is modest.
Popclips Basic — 29.99 USD per month: 15,000 monthly views, custom carousels and Instagram and TikTok imports. It suits stores beginning to build a regular clip library.
Popclips Premium — 149.99 USD per month: 125,000 monthly views, category and collection carousels, likes and like counts, and branding removal. The higher allowance and presentation options target stores with larger video audiences and more developed merchandising needs.
Interactive Live Selling: one live event per month at a listed price of $0.00, with a 5% fee on live-sale revenue. Interactive Live Selling Unlimited — 49.99 USD per month: unlimited events, with the same 5% revenue fee. The free event allowance is a way to start cautiously; frequent broadcasters may prefer unlimited scheduling, but the usage fee remains.
Mobile App Basic — 79.99 USD per month: iOS app and 500 total downloads. Mobile App Pro — 149.99 USD per month: 1,000 total downloads and Android availability. Mobile App Premium — 299.99 USD per month: 2,000 downloads; Scale — 499.99 USD per month: 4,000; Enterprise — 999.99 USD per month: 10,000. These tiers make the download allowance a central cost consideration; Android support starts at Pro.

Plans include ongoing security and feature updates and app maintenance. The app tiers are best suited to brands prepared to build an audience for a dedicated storefront; merchants wanting only clips or occasional live events can avoid that separate recurring cost.

Platforms

Videeo supports Android, iOS and web, but its supported stores are Shopify-based. That makes it a poor fit for merchants on other commerce platforms. Android app availability begins with Mobile App Pro; Mobile App Basic includes iOS.

Who it's for

Videeo is aimed at Shopify brands in fashion, home furnishings, sports, electronics, health and beauty, and crafts. It is a stronger fit for merchants who can use product-tagged clips, live events or a branded app as active sales channels than for stores seeking a single low-cost video tool. Onboarding, customer solutions specialists, on-demand training, YouTube videos, weekly webinars and a Reddit community provide several support routes. The company says Videeo was built by the creators of CommentSold.

Pros and cons

Pro: Clips can tag up to five products and add them to cart, with automatic product-page placement and real-time Shopify syncing connecting video to store inventory and pricing.
Pro: Live events span the website, app, Facebook and Instagram, with guest appearances, scheduling and three-month replays.
Con: Live sales carry a 5% revenue fee even on the unlimited-event plan, adding a variable cost to the monthly subscription.
Con: Mobile app plans cap total downloads, and Android requires at least the Pro tier.
Con: Store support is limited to Shopify, ruling it out for merchants using other platforms.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison, see Live Shopping Platforms. Bambuser is worth considering when a free plan with 250 monthly views, two users and one domain or market is enough to start. Degpeg offers a free one-month option with 1,000 minutes per month and two-day recording retention, which may suit a reader prioritizing a time-limited trial of live video.

LiveMeUp has a free plan and paid tiers at 89.00 USD, 249.00 USD and 399.00 USD per month; consider it if those plan prices better match your budget. iimpro offers a free-to-install Starter plan with a 6% commission on order subtotals and no monthly subscription, making it an option for readers who prefer commission-based costs.

TalkShopLive offers a free Shopify Basic plan with usage charges of $0.30 per item sold and 10.25% of order value, a different cost structure for merchants comparing transaction fees. Dots Live Shopping is another paid alternative. Shoplive uses custom pricing based on broadcast frequency, audience and integration scope, which may suit buyers seeking a quote tailored to those factors. buywith has a free-to-install plan with additional charges possible, but its other plan details are not given.

Verdict

Choose Videeo if your store runs on Shopify and you want shoppable clips, live events and the option of a white-label mobile app in one toolkit. Its most persuasive advantage is the direct connection between video, Shopify catalog data and checkout. Look elsewhere if you need a non-Shopify integration, want to avoid the 5% live-sale fee, or expect app reach beyond the download cap of your chosen tier.
