Checkmk

Checkmk monitors cloud, hybrid, and data center infrastructure, including containers and networks. For web, mail, and database servers, it combines more than 2,000 smart checks with automatic discovery and network mapping. Monitoring can use native agents for Windows, Linux, and other systems, agentless SNMP and TCP/UDP checks, or API-based checks over HTTP/XML, SSH, or TELNET. Cloud coverage includes AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, with automatic component detection and Quick Setup. One instance can monitor thousands of servers, while distributed monitoring supports horizontal scaling. Community includes more than 2,000 integrations and is intended for smaller environments, scaling to approximately 100 hosts. The software can run on customer hardware or virtualized infrastructure, with Linux distribution packages, Docker, and a Virtual Appliance. The Community plan is free forever and includes community support. The pricing note lists paid plans from €190/mo (annual) and a 30-day trial. New Relic Kubernetes Monitoring

New Relic Kubernetes Monitoring provides visibility into cluster health and workloads across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. Its cluster explorer brings together metrics, events, logs, and traces for control plane components, nodes, namespaces, deployments, replica sets, pods, and containers. The integration can forward Kubernetes logs and events for exploration, querying, and alerting, and uses service discovery to scrape Prometheus metrics. Teams can link application performance data with Kubernetes data to examine request rates, throughput, errors, and availability. Predefined and custom alert conditions are available, and reported data can trigger pod autoscaling. It can also monitor supported services including Apache, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Kafka, MongoDB, MySQL, NGINX, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, and Redis. Installation requires a New Relic license key and uses Helm or manifests. The perpetual free tier includes 100 GB of data ingest per month and one full platform user. The default configuration uses a privileged Infrastructure Agent sidecar for deep host metrics; unprivileged mode is available with reduced host visibility. The listed Pro plan costs $349 a year.
