Overview

ChMeetings is church management software for congregations bringing administration, giving, events, accounting, and worship planning together. It suits churches that want one platform for staff and volunteers, especially those comfortable choosing a plan by active-person count. Its broad scope is a strength, though messaging and a branded church app may add costs.

Launched in 2018 by U.S.-based Jios Apps Inc, it combines member records with tools for services, events, and financial administration. Its scheduling capabilities also make it relevant to Church Scheduling Software.

Key features

People, groups, and giving

Member profiles, bulk management, group management, and online or printable directories cover core congregation-record needs. Churches can track contributions from members and guests, online or offline, run pledge campaigns, and export or print donation statements. Payment handling is delegated to providers such as Stripe and PayPal; ChMeetings says it keeps only necessary payment information, such as the last four card digits.

Events and worship planning

Events can be free or paid, with volunteer scheduling, attendance tracking, QR check-in, child check-in, and name-tag printing. Worship planning adds service orders, a song library, and role scheduling for worship team members. Together, these tools suit churches coordinating both weekly services and one-off events, rather than buyers seeking only a narrow scheduling product.

Accounting, integrations, and security

The accounting module includes fund tracking, bank transaction syncing, budgets, financial reports, and check printing. Integrations include Stripe, PayPal, BlueSnap, Paystack, Mailchimp, Twilio, several SMS providers, Zeffy, Zapier, and the ChMeetings API. The maker says data is hosted on Microsoft Azure in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest, and backed up daily. GDPR measures, optional two-factor authentication, role-based access, and activity logs are described; access-log reports are reserved for paid users. Churches that require control over data residency should look elsewhere, since customers cannot choose a region.

Pricing

ChMeetings has a permanent free plan and a 30-day trial. Free costs 0.00 USD per free and is capped at 50 people and 50 donations per month, making it a practical starting point for a small congregation but restrictive for larger records or higher donation volume.

Paid plans are billed monthly, with annual billing also offered at 10 months instead of 12: V. Small costs 12.00 USD per month for 100 people; Small is 25.00 USD per month for 250; Medium is 40.00 USD per month for 500; Large is 50.00 USD per month for 1,000; and Unlimited is 60.00 USD per month for unlimited people. The entry paid tier suits churches that have outgrown the free cap, while the higher tiers provide progressively more room without changing the people-based structure. Only active people count toward the limit. Support is included on every plan, and free onboarding and training reduce the burden of moving workflows into the platform. Voice and text messages initiated through ChMeetings, as well as the branded church app, can cost extra, so churches should account for those needs separately.

Platforms

ChMeetings is available on the web, Android, and iOS, with an API also listed. The mobile app covers phone access, while the desktop service runs in a browser or can optionally be installed as a desktop app. Support is offered by phone, live chat, email, ticket, and help center.

Who it's for

ChMeetings is best suited to churches that want member management, contributions, event administration, accounting, and worship scheduling under one roof, and can match their active-member count to one of its tiers. Small congregations can begin without a subscription, while growing churches have clear capacity steps up to unlimited people. It is less suitable for organizations that need a donation allowance beyond the free plan's monthly cap at no cost, want to avoid possible messaging or branded-app charges, or require a selectable hosting region.

Pros and cons

Broad church operations coverage: people, giving, events, accounting, and worship planning sit in one platform, reducing the need to coordinate those functions across separate tools.
Multiple capacity tiers: paid plans scale from 100 people to unlimited, and only active people count toward the limit.
Support across every plan: phone, chat, email, tickets, and a help center are included, alongside free onboarding and training.
Free tier has tight caps: 50 people and 50 donations per month may be too little for churches with larger congregations or regular giving.
Some costs sit outside the plan price: ChMeetings-initiated voice and text messages and the branded app can add charges.
No regional hosting choice: data is stored in the United States, which may not suit churches with residency requirements.

Alternatives

For a church that wants an alternative with a paid plan sized for 75 people at 29.00 USD per month, ChurchTrac is worth comparing; it has no free plan and supports Android, iOS, macOS, web, and Windows. Faith Teams may suit churches comparing a free option for up to 100 active people, alongside Android, iOS, and web access.

Planning Center is a freemium alternative with separate free Calendar, People, and Services plans, useful to consider when comparing module-based offerings. Tithely Giving is another freemium option, with a free giving plan that has no monthly fees but applies transaction fees.

ChurchPlan offers a free Essentials plan with unlimited members, online giving, automated tax receipts, and a personalized church mobile app. ChurchSuite is a paid alternative with a 15.50 USD per month Solo plan for 0–99 active contacts and an Address Book module. ChurchTools may merit comparison for a paid package with 100 people at 39.00 USD per month. FellowshipOne is another option to compare.

Verdict

Choose ChMeetings if your church wants a single system for congregation records, giving, events, finances, and worship coordination, with a free entry tier and paid capacity that scales to unlimited people. Look elsewhere if the free caps are too low, add-on charges would complicate budgeting, or U.S.-only data storage conflicts with your requirements.
