| Limit: pricing complexity | A G2 reviewer reported that processing and persistence costs were separate and that processing cost was not fully apparent during the proof of concept. | Reviewers report that costs rise with additional monitor types, synthetic checks and advanced features, and that licensing can be difficult to understand. |
| Purpose | Chronosphere provides observability for cloud-native applications and microservices to help teams detect and resolve issues. | Site24x7 provides Kubernetes observability across infrastructure, control plane, Kubernetes objects, and application layers. |
| Security | Chronosphere states that it is SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 audited and encrypts customer data at rest and in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher and AES 256. | Site24x7 states that customer data is protected with AES-256 encryption at rest and SSL/TLS in transit. |
| Security controls | Customer data is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.2 or higher and at rest with AES-256. | Site24x7 states that it uses SSL/TLS, AES-256 encryption, an OWASP-based application-security framework and in-house key-management services. |
| What it does | Chronosphere provides cloud-native application observability for collecting, correlating and analyzing metrics, logs, traces and events. | Site24x7 provides unified Kubernetes observability across infrastructure, control-plane components, Kubernetes objects and application layers. |

In their own words
Chronosphere Application Observability
Chronosphere Application Observability is a cloud service for helping teams find and resolve problems in cloud-native applications and microservices. Chronosphere Lens creates service views aligned with an application’s architecture. Teams can use RED metrics and service-level objectives to understand performance and service dependencies, while metrics, logs, traces, and events are correlated with system changes and their effects. Distributed tracing maps request paths across components to help locate latency and inter-service communication issues. Dynamic trace sampling is offered to balance observability insight with cost. The service accepts open telemetry formats including Prometheus and OpenTelemetry. Listed alerting connections include Slack, PagerDuty, OpsGenie, VictorOps, email, and a general-purpose webhook. Pricing for the Observability Platform is based on useful data retained and customized for each organization; no price is listed. Pilots are typically free and average 2–3 weeks, though large-scale or long-term pilots may be paid. A free trial is offered, but there is no free plan. Customer support includes year-round, 24/7 communication through Slack, Zendesk, or email, with optional office hours and calls.
Site24x7 Kubernetes Monitoring
Site24x7 Kubernetes Monitoring provides observability across Kubernetes infrastructure, control planes, objects, and application layers. It supports OpenTelemetry ingestion and eBPF-based auto-instrumentation without manual code changes, and monitors metrics alongside Pod, Audit, Event, and Application logs. Distributed tracing and alerting through email, SMS, webhooks, or voice calls are listed. Dashboards offer inventory and views for namespaces, clusters, nodes, pods, containers, deployments, DaemonSets, ReplicaSets, and StatefulSets. Supported environments include AKS, EKS, GKE, OpenShift, AWS Fargate, Rancher, DigitalOcean, MicroK8s, Kind, K3s, Oracle Kubernetes Engine, Linode Kubernetes Engine, and Bottlerocket. AI anomaly detection and automated root-cause analysis are intended to identify application and infrastructure issues. The service is SaaS, with Android and iOS apps. Licensing uses one basic-monitor license per cluster monitor; the first 10 containers on each node are free, and each further set of 10 requires a host-monitor license. New users get a 30-day trial with all platform features and no credit card requirement. No plan price is listed.
