In their own words
Chunker
Chunker converts Minecraft worlds between Java Edition and Bedrock Edition, processing worlds locally on the user's machine. It can transfer level settings and world data such as blocks, biomes, and tile entities, as well as multiple dimensions, containers, items, and in-game maps. It can upgrade or downgrade worlds between supported game versions. Inputs include world folders, ZIP archives, and MCWORLD files, with drag-and-drop support. Users can adjust conversion and export settings and save settings for later conversions. The command-line interface supports conversion and workflow integration, but requires Java 17 or higher. Entities and player inventories are not converted; structure data such as villages and strongholds is listed as unsupported or limited. Chunker is free at free and open source under the MIT license. It is available for Windows, macOS, Linux, and through a web interface. Supported versions vary by edition: the listed ranges are Bedrock 1.12.0–1.26.50 and Java 1.8.8–1.21.11 and 26.1–26.3. Check compatibility before converting a world.
OpenMW-CS
OpenMW-CS is a free editor for making or changing mods and creating original games. Its editing tools cover files, world and mechanics data, characters, and assets, with record filters and a cell view. The editor supports plugin and script editing, mod packaging, and ESM, ESP, .omwgame, and .omwaddon formats. The project says OpenMW can run original games made with OpenMW-CS; those games do not require Morrowind. Playing Morrowind does require a legally owned copy, because OpenMW does not include its content or assets. Official releases are listed for Windows, macOS, and Linux, alongside distribution channels including Windows Chocolatey, Linux distribution repositories, and Flathub. The manual is intended as both an introduction and a reference, including for people familiar with Morrowind modding, but cautions that OpenMW-CS remains in development and the manual does not cover its shortcomings. Mods requiring MWSE, MGE XE, or MCP are incompatible because those tools modify the original Morrowind executable. The source code is released under the GNU General Public License version 3.
