In their own words

Cineboard

Cineboard is a web-based visual pre-production workspace for directors, cinematographers, and small creative teams. Moodboard collects reference images, notes, and links on a canvas that users arrange and connect. Storyboard Shot Cards keep images, actions, director notes, and technical details such as lens, camera, shot size, angle, movement, and FPS together. Shooting Plan schedules shots in shooting order while retaining the storyboard’s narrative order, with dates, locations, start times, buffers, and weather and daylight context. Frame Lab can generate and revise frames from character, location, and styling references, but it is optional. Storyboards export as PDF and shooting days as Paper Schedules. Cineboard is desktop-first, works best in current Chrome, Safari, or Edge, and supports iPad for review and light editing. Internet access is required for cloud saving, collaboration, and generation. Plans include a free tier and paid plans from $9.90 a month.

ShotPro

ShotPro is a previsualization tool for planning stories and scenes, aimed at productions, schools, indie groups, and individuals. Projects organize scenes into sequences that users can order, rename, annotate, and build from supplied or custom templates. A 2D mode sets character, camera, and prop movements; 3D mode helps refine a scene's appearance. ProCam controls include aperture, focus distance, ISO, shutter speed, lens size, depth of field, and camera shake. Users can import FBX objects, audio, 3D characters, and images, including images with alpha channels. The timeline supports camera movements and cuts, voiceovers, text, print markers, and face-capture tracks, though some tracks require expansion packs. Movies of projects or scenes can be exported up to 4K at 24, 30, or 60 fps, and storyboard frames can be printed with notes. An iOS-only AR expansion pack overlays 3D objects on a live camera view and records the result. Standalone Single costs $35, paid once for one Mac or Windows machine; ShotPro S Monthly costs $9.99 a month and includes expansion packs.
