Mushroom Networks SD-WAN
Mushroom Networks SD-WAN is a hybrid, cloud-managed system for directing traffic across varied WAN connections. Its Truffle appliances can integrate up to 16 internet transports, including MPLS and 5G. Application profiles, overlay tunnels, quality-of-service controls, and WAN-condition monitoring adjust traffic handling, while Mushroom describes the service as learning network variations and flow patterns to automate problem resolution. A cloud portal provides visibility and remote access to customer-premises equipment with zero-touch provisioning. Listed visibility includes layer-7 deep packet inspection, SNMP, and Netflow. Appliances can run in pass-through mode or provide firewall and routing functions; Truffle V runs as WAN orchestration software on a virtual machine. Packet-level bonding requires peering with Mushroom’s Cloud Relay Service or a customer-hosted relay; standalone mode distributes separate sessions across links. Tunnels have configurable security, including AES-128, an AES-256 option, and TLS/SRP authentication. Pricing varies by model and configuration and is available from sales.
