Overview

Founded in Melbourne in 2015, HammerTech brings subcontractor management, worker orientations, hazard planning, permits, inspections, incidents and daily reporting into one platform. That scope suits contractors standardizing recurring work across active sites, but can be more than a small operation needs.

The same user login works across web and mobile apps, so teams can move between site work and office administration without separate credentials. HammerTech identifies itself as ISO 9001:2015 certified and SOC 2 Type 1.

Key features

Safety and site workflows

Coverage includes subcontractor management, orientations, JHAs, SDS, pre-task plans, permits, inspections, observations, incidents, corrective actions, safety training, hazard assessments, daily reports and site access. Bringing these processes together is useful when safety work is part of a broader site-operation routine. Teams that only need inspections may find the wider platform unnecessary.

AI assistance

HammerTech Intelligence can turn pre-task plans into tasks and hazards, fill site observations from photos, and extract SDS information from PDFs. These capabilities target documentation and data entry in existing safety workflows; they do not replace the broader process or remove the need to review the resulting records.

Integrations and support

Named integrations include Procore, Autodesk, CMiC, Irongate, Eyrus, Kwant, Acumatica and LUMA1, with an Open API for custom integrations. Integrations must be enabled by HammerTech, and customers are directed to request access through their Customer Success Representative. That gate may add coordination for teams planning connected deployments. Implementation, onboarding, training, ongoing customer support and knowledge-hub access are included.

Pricing

HammerTech has custom pricing based on operational scale and complexity, including annual construction volume and active job-site count. It does not use per-user pricing, so the evaluation should focus on the size and shape of the operation rather than seat totals.

Plan	Price	What it includes	Best suited to
Subcontractor access	0.00 USD per free	Free access for subcontractors, provided by the general contractor managing the project.	Subcontractors participating in a project whose general contractor uses HammerTech.
HammerTech	Custom pricing	Core safety workflows, integrations, onboarding, training and support.	Commercial and infrastructure contractors managing multiple sites and workflows.

The free subcontractor access is not a standalone free plan for a contractor: access depends on the general contractor managing the project. The paid platform has no per-user charge, but its tailored quote means cost depends on operational scale and complexity.

Platforms

HammerTech supports Android, iOS and web, and offers an API. Mobile apps let field teams work from phones, while the web app supports office use; a shared login works across web and mobile. This mix is practical for contractors whose work spans job sites and office administration.

Who it's for

HammerTech is aimed at commercial and infrastructure contractors coordinating multiple job sites. Its combination of safety, compliance and site workflows is most relevant where teams need consistent processes across projects. Very small teams and single-project operations are a poor match for its scope and tailored pricing model.

Pros and cons

Broad construction-specific coverage: subcontractor management, hazard planning, permits, incidents and daily reports sit alongside inspections, reducing the case for separate tools across those workflows.
Field and office access: Android, iOS and web support teams working across site and administrative settings, with one login across apps.
Useful automation for safety records: AI assistance can structure pre-task plans, observations and SDS data, targeting documentation work without replacing review.
Pricing requires a tailored quote: cost depends on construction volume and active sites, making it less straightforward to budget than a fixed per-user plan.
Integration enablement is mediated: HammerTech must enable integrations, so teams should account for Customer Success coordination when planning connections.
Small operations may get too much platform: the product is explicitly a poor fit for very small teams and single-project work.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison of products in this category, see Safety Management Software, Inspection Management Software and Inspection Software.

Tap Into Safety is worth considering when the priority is safety training: its seven-day Free Demo provides access to a selection of courses, and the annual unlimited-use Entry Level plan costs 3000.00 USD per year.
Safesite may suit teams wanting a free starting point: its Free plan supports unlimited members and guests, but reporting is limited to the last 30 days; Premium costs 16.00 USD per month per member.
Donesafe is another paid option with custom pricing based on modules, worker count and support services, for buyers whose needs align with those pricing variables.
EHS Insight is a paid option for organizations considering a small- or medium-business solution with a mobile app that supports offline use, dashboards and reports, and quick implementation.
Safety Evolution uses active-user pricing with monthly or annual quote options; it may be a better fit when that pricing structure suits the organization, with reduced pricing for 100 or more active users.
TruStar Connect offers a Starter plan at 175.00 CAD per month for up to 10 workers, with subcontractors free and excluded from the limit. It is worth comparing for smaller teams seeking a stated worker cap and monthly price.
Intelex Inspection Management has a Safety Essentials plan at 44.00 USD per year with a 25-user minimum, including incident management with near-miss reporting and action planning; it may suit buyers centered on those needs.
NZOHS offers a subscription whose price varies by business size and includes all features; it is another option for buyers comparing size-based subscriptions.

Verdict

Choose HammerTech if you are a commercial or infrastructure contractor coordinating safety and site work across multiple active projects: its strongest case is the breadth of construction workflows in one mobile- and web-accessible platform. Look elsewhere if you run a very small or single-project operation, need a fixed public price, or want integrations without an enablement step.
