In their own words

Cleanfeed

Cleanfeed is browser-based audio software for long-distance professional work, including interviews, recording sessions, podcasting, radio, voice work, film and television, and commercial production. All versions provide unlimited recording time, and audio is captured live rather than synced later. The free Lite plan supports two guests, one local audio source, and mono remote audio. Pro supports up to 32 guests and records each guest on a separate track, with a limit of 32 tracks or 16 stereo tracks. It adds stereo remote audio, four local sources, privacy controls, markers and notes, playback tools, audio repair, and auxiliary outputs. Cinema supports up to 16 guests and includes DCI 2K 60fps centre-stage video, Gallery, and dedicated server capacity. The studio runs in a browser; Chrome on Mac and Windows and Chromium on Linux are preferred. Audio export is WAV, and video recording is available. Cleanfeed says audio is end-to-end encrypted and that it does not retain media copies on its servers. Safari on iPhone and iPad is in beta for guests only; hosting from those devices is not supported.

Iris.fm

Iris.fm records remote podcast interviews in a browser, capturing each participant locally and delivering separate audio and video files for editing. Live captions appear during a session and are saved with the recording, while progressive uploads back up the session as it proceeds. Guests join through a browser link without installing an app or creating an Iris account. Rooms support host, producer, and guest roles with device controls and up to nine people recording at once. The service supports desktop and laptop browsers as well as iPhone and Android, with Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge listed. Users can create a branded studio with a custom URL. Paid plans include Google Drive and Dropbox uploads, and recording hours are counted by total session time rather than multiplied by participant count. Starter costs $9 a month and includes two recording hours; Pro costs $19 a month and includes five, while Studio costs $29 a month and includes ten. Iris operates its services in the United States, where information from users elsewhere is transferred, stored, and processed.
