In their own words
Cleanup
Cleanup is a browser-based editor that removes unwanted objects, people, text, and watermarks by rebuilding brushed areas with AI inpainting. It accepts JPG, PNG, and WebP files and exports edited images as full-resolution PNGs. Undo, before-and-after comparison, and zooming support detailed edits. The editor works in mobile browsers on iOS and Android with a touch-oriented brush, and requires no app or extension installation. Its Free plan is free, requires no account, has no trial period, and adds no watermark. The site says there is no per-account quota, although very heavy automated use may be rate limited. Cleanup does not add objects from text prompts and does not provide skin smoothing, color grading, exposure adjustment, or cropping. Processing occurs on the maker’s servers: the image and brushed area go to its API, then the edited image returns to the browser. Photos may remain briefly during processing and in short-lived diagnostic logs, but are not kept as a permanent archive. The maker says uploads are not placed in a public gallery or used for marketing without explicit written permission. Google Analytics cookies send visitor and device information to Google.
Pixelcut
Pixelcut is an AI photo and video editor focused on product photography, with tools for background removal, upscaling, image expansion, retouching, product shots, ads, and video. Its web background remover accepts JPG, PNG, and HEIC images up to 50 MB and 6000 × 6000 pixels, and offers free HD downloads without a watermark or sign-up. The editor can upscale images up to 16×, use generative fill for retouching, generate shadows, and batch edit hundreds of files. The background-removal page lists bulk processing for up to 10,000 images in one batch, with ZIP export. The API costs 5 credits per image, shown as $0.05 per image, and accepts PNG or JPEG inputs; outputs include transparent PNG, alpha masks, and ZIP files. Pixelcut is available on Android, iOS, and web, with API access. Its free plan includes limited background removal and upscaling, with exports without a watermark. Pixelcut describes its intended users as sellers, creators, and brands working on product photos, e-commerce catalogs, ads, and social content.
