Overview

Cleo can qualify a visitor, present visuals during a conversation, book a meeting on the appropriate representative’s calendar, and brief that representative before they join. Text, voice, and video support give prospects more ways to engage than a text-only chatbot; the browser-based format also avoids requiring a dedicated desktop app for the conversation. Scoot.app doubles as Cleo’s demo.

Cleo belongs to Scoot, an AI sales platform combining meetings, AI agents, and The Brain, its intelligence engine. Scoot Engage offers Mingle, Presentation, and Meeting modes for events, broadcasts, and sales meetings. Google and Outlook calendar integrations support scheduling, and The Brain can sync with a customer’s CRM. The Brain connects to agents through API and MCP, while Scoot’s agent page also lists CLI connectivity.

Key features

Cleo’s strongest case is the transition from prospect qualification to a booked sales conversation. It can book meetings and brief the representative, reducing the gap between a visitor’s initial interest and the seller joining. Teams wanting a website agent without a broader meeting product may find Scoot’s additional tools less central to their needs.

Live Advisor provides real-time sales coaching on Scoot meetings and Zoom and Teams calls. Coaching is visible only to the seller’s team, which makes it suited to internal guidance rather than shared customer-facing notes. The platform’s meeting modes also cover events and broadcasts, extending it beyond one-to-one prospect conversations.

Scoot says it is SOC 2 Type II compliant, with its report available under NDA. It says customer data is not used to train AI models and its AI providers are not permitted to use that data to train general-purpose models. Meeting hosts control whether AI features are active; participants can ask the host to disable them or leave. Those controls matter for teams handling sensitive discussions, though the host remains responsible for the meeting’s AI settings.

Guests can join meetings for free in a browser from a link, without installing software or creating an account. Scoot offers a Mac desktop app for Live Advisor Anywhere; Windows support for that app is labeled as coming soon. The distinction matters to teams that expect sellers to use the desktop coaching experience on Windows.

Pricing

Scoot has a free plan and paid plans. Free is free, billed forever, and includes unlimited Scoot Engage meetings, unlimited Live Advisor, unlimited Brain memory, 50 GB of recording storage, and free guests. The storage allowance is the main constraint; Scoot says recordings are not deleted when it is reached, but teams with substantial recording needs may prefer a paid tier.

Pro costs 99.00 USD per month, billed annually, per seat. Each seat includes 250 GB of recording storage and 25,000 Brain calls. It suits smaller teams that need more storage and agent activity than Free permits, but the per-seat structure means the cost scales with the number of users.

Team costs 149.00 USD per month, billed annually, per seat, and raises the allowances to 1 TB of storage and 100,000 Brain calls per seat. It is the more suitable seat-based option for teams with heavier recording or Brain usage; lighter users may not need those higher quotas.

Brain Platform costs 500.00 USD per month for 250,000 Brain calls. Brain Platform Scale costs 1500.00 USD per month and includes 1 million Brain calls and unlimited agents. These plans are oriented around Brain call capacity rather than per-seat storage allowances, so they are a better fit when agent activity is the main planning concern.

Enterprise uses an annual agreement with custom pricing and includes unlimited storage, custom data residency, a compliance pack, and executive support. Cleo inbound agent is an annual subscription with custom pricing based on conversation volume; it includes a branded website agent that greets and qualifies visitors and books meetings. Buyers should weigh the conversation-volume basis against their expected visitor activity.

Platforms

Scoot’s platform availability includes API, macOS, web, and Windows. Cleo itself supports text, voice, and video in the browser. Windows is labeled as coming soon for the Live Advisor Anywhere desktop app, while meeting guests can join through a browser without an account or installation.

Who it's for

Cleo is a good fit for sales teams that want to qualify website visitors, schedule meetings, and give representatives context before a call, especially when they also value coaching and meeting tools. Teams should look elsewhere if they need a plainly priced inbound agent or prefer a simple chatbot without Scoot’s wider sales platform and annual, quota-based plans.

Pros and cons

Pros: Cleo combines prospect qualification, visual conversations, booking, and representative briefings, covering several steps from initial interest to sales follow-up.
Pros: Free includes unlimited meetings and Live Advisor, while free browser access for guests avoids account and installation friction.
Pros: Team and Enterprise provide larger storage allowances or unlimited storage, with Enterprise also offering custom data residency and a compliance pack.
Cons: Pro and Team require annual billing and charge per seat, so both seat count and usage quotas affect plan fit.
Cons: Free’s 50 GB recording cap may be restrictive for recording-heavy teams, even though recordings are not deleted when the cap is reached.
Cons: Cleo inbound agent pricing depends on conversation volume, making it less straightforward to budget without a volume estimate.

Verdict

Choose Cleo if your sales team wants website qualification and meeting booking tied to representative briefings, coaching, and broader meeting tools. Its strongest differentiator is that connected workflow; look elsewhere if conversation-volume pricing, annual per-seat plans, or recording and Brain-call quotas make forecasting usage difficult.
