Clipdrop vs Uncrop

Clipdrop has no write-up on Specifiction yet; its figures are above.

Uncrop is a free web tool for extending photos into layouts used by Instagram. It offers portrait (4:5), square (1:1), landscape (1.91:1), and Story/Reel (9:16) formats. Local expansion methods include edge pixel extrusion, symmetric reflection, ambient blur, and smooth smear. You can also choose blur, solid-color, gradient, or mirror-reflection backgrounds. Uploads support JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP, and HEIC. Uncrop says processing occurs in your browser, without sending photos to a server, and that photos and traces disappear when the tab closes or refreshes. Original content is not compressed or downsized, while downloads keep the upload format at the highest quality setting. There is no stated file-size limit, although files above 50MB may process more slowly in-browser. The responsive site works on modern smartphones and listed browsers, and processing can work offline after loading. All features are free without an account; advertising supports the plan. Gemini AI outpainting requires a paid Gemini API key.
