In their own words

Clockify

Clockify is a time-tracking and project tool with a timer, timesheets, calendar, automatic tracker, kiosk, reports, invoicing, expenses, approvals, rates, and projects. Users can track billable time, manage projects, export data, and record time offline. Team tools cover member and role management, permissions, approvals, and manager roles. The free plan costs nothing, supports up to five users, and includes unlimited time tracking. Its automatic tracker records apps and websites, with activity visible only to the individual user. Clockify offers access on Windows, Mac, Linux, Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Android, and iOS. Integrations include Outlook, Google Calendar, Asana, Trello, Jira, ClickUp, and Salesforce, among 80+ web apps. Paid plans start at $3.99 a month billed annually; a seven-day trial is advertised. Enterprise includes single sign-on, custom subdomains, SCIM provisioning, account controls, and audit logs. Clockify says subscriptions can be canceled anytime and support is available 24 hours a day, including holidays.

solidtime

Solidtime is open-source time-tracking software for teams and freelancers, available as a cloud service or self-hosted deployment. A live timer, drag-and-drop calendar, and weekly timesheet record work organized by client, project, task, and tag; projects can also have rates and budgets. Reports can be filtered by those categories and billable status, then shared or exported as PDF, CSV, or Excel. Invoices can be generated from billable time with PDF and structured e-invoice output, tax rates, discounts, and EU reverse-charge. The desktop app detects the active app and document, and pauses the timer when it detects idle time; that activity stays on the device until converted into a time entry. Desktop versions are offered for macOS, Windows 10/11, and Linux. The Professional plan is €8 a month when billed annually, excluding VAT, or €9 a month billed monthly, excluding VAT. The Open Source plan is free and includes self-hosted deployment.
