ClockShark
ClockShark is a paid toolkit for construction, field service, and trade businesses, combining time tracking, scheduling, job management, GPS verification, payroll, and reporting. Employees can record time through Android and iOS apps or the website. Managers can share drag-and-drop schedules with job or task assignments, documents, addresses, and notes. Clock-ins are also supported through Crew Clock and kiosk time clocks, alongside mobile apps and web browsers. The system includes geofencing, break tracking, timesheet approvals, and attendance reports. ClockShark says its mobile app uses GPS only while employees are on the clock. Standard includes time and attendance tracking, GPS and job tracking, scheduling, manager roles and approvals, and third-party integrations. Pro adds paid time off and multi-department and office controls. Both plans include live human support; Pro customers can schedule personal onboarding with a customer success representative. Listed integrations include QuickBooks, ADP, Sage 100 Contractor, Xero, Zapier, Simpro, Paychex, Gusto, MYOB, and Paylocity.
Werx
Werx is contractor management software for trade contractors, covering work from estimates through final payment. Users can create itemized or proposal estimates for clients to approve online, manage AIA-style G702/G703 pay applications, schedules of values and retainage, and track budget-to-actual costs and profitability by cost code. It also supports time-and-material invoicing with labor and material tracking. Werx syncs in both directions with QuickBooks Online on every plan; QuickBooks Desktop is not supported. Customers can pay invoices by credit card or ACH through Stripe. The iOS and Android Field App supports time tracking, Extra Work Authorizations and customer signatures; a full mobile version is described as coming soon. Werx is available on the web, iOS and Android, and is aimed at small-to-midsized contractors, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, landscaping and remodeling businesses. Month-to-month plans cost $49.00 per month for 10 active projects, $89.00 for 20, or $119.00 for unlimited active projects. Inactive projects do not count toward the limit. There is no free plan, but a 14-day trial requires no credit card.
