CloudMoon vs NetEase Cloud Gaming

CloudMoon is a cloud gaming service for playing mobile games online without downloading them. It offers over 300 games and apps, rendering graphics on global GPU servers and streaming them to users. Listed devices include web, Android, iOS, tablets, Chromebooks, and low-spec laptops. CloudMoon says devices with 3–4 GB of RAM can stream at up to 60 fps, and that its 15 MB app can run 200+ games. It also says edge servers in 22 locations cut latency below 55 ms, while noting that network speed and server policies can still cause latency. The service offers free cloud gaming for casual users and a Standard Plan at $4.99 a month. One-time options listed at 4.99 USD include seven days of Premium and 20 hours of gaming. Support and payment help are directed to Discord, and users can request games through Discord or Reddit. On Mac, the App Store listing requires macOS 12.0 or later and an Apple M1 chip or later.

NetEase Cloud Gaming streams mobile and PC games using cloud technology and server resources. Game operations run in the cloud, so local installation and device storage are not required. It supports Android, iOS, web and Windows, and lists Android, iOS, web/PC and TV as supported devices. Streaming resolution reaches 1080p, and the game access model is mixed.

Its private cloud computer provides space for games and apps. Games downloaded there can be used again later without downloading them again. Data stored on the persistent disk remains after a session ends. First-time cloud computer users receive a two-day data disk trial, and new users can use registration-awarded free time. A free UU accelerator is also listed. When the data disk expires, the computer remains playable, but its data is cleared each time the user exits. Disk capacity can be expanded but not reduced, and the additional E drive does not retain data after exit. The service has a free plan and free trial. The data disk is listed at 10 CNY a month during the promotional period, for 100 GB.
