| Security | Coalesce says it never stores data at rest, encrypts data in motion, and performs production refreshes entirely within the customer’s data platform. | Prophecy says it works against data in place and keeps descriptive metadata; its trust page describes AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. |
| Support | The Starter plan includes onboarding workshops and 24x5 support, while Enterprise and Business Critical include priority support and enhanced service-level agreements. | Users without Support Portal access can use documentation, community resources, troubleshooting guides, and tutorials; free-version users are not eligible for Support Portal access. |
| What it does | Coalesce Catalog is a data catalog that helps business and engineering users find, understand and use organizational data. | Prophecy uses AI agents to turn natural-language business goals into visual data preparation workflows and analysis. |

In their own words
Coalesce Catalog
Coalesce Catalog is a data catalog for discovering, documenting, and governing assets across a data stack. Its AI-assisted natural-language search covers domains, dashboards, tables, and columns, while automated lineage maps data from sources to BI tools at column level. A metadata-powered semantic layer supports collaborative cataloging and documentation. Governance features include access monitoring and control, sensitive-data classification, role-based controls, and audit trails. Integrations span warehouses, databases, BI tools, and services including Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Tableau, Power BI, dbt, Slack, and Okta. Coalesce says it can document up to 90% of a database in seconds by propagating material from connected tools. Its Public API can read and update metadata such as tables, columns, dashboards, lineage, and quality tests. The free Developer plan includes one user, one project, one environment, and 2,000 monthly actions. Starter costs $150 a month, billed annually, and includes three Catalog integrations. Coalesce lists web and API platforms.
