CodePad
CodePad is an online coding platform for creating projects in HTML, JavaScript, Java, Python, PHP, and Node.js. It is free, requires no installation, and lists web and iOS as platforms; its homepage also says it works on Chromebooks and iPads. The platform advertises real-time collaboration, private projects, and public sharing. Java and Python projects have graphical and sound support, while ChatGPT integration and shell access for advanced users are also listed. Users can create temporary, unlisted projects without an account. The homepage does not state plan limits. CodePad says its servers are in the United States and that it uses organizational and technical security measures to protect personal information. Its terms say the service is not tailored to meet industry-specific rules such as HIPAA or FISMA. Teachers and school administrators are directed to CodePad School for a dedicated school environment and classroom features.
