In their own words
Code Snippets
Code Snippets is a WordPress plugin for keeping PHP, CSS, JavaScript, and HTML snippets in one place, without editing a theme or plugin. Users can switch snippets on and off, and the cloud platform supports backing up, synchronizing, collaborating on, and deploying snippets across WordPress sites. Snippets can be grouped into bundles for team use, while the Community Cloud lets users browse submissions and add them to a site. The free plan offers limited functionality, no AI prompts, and snippet syncing across sites. Pro can generate and activate snippets using AI and includes unlimited AI prompts. Listed Pro features include Elementor widgets, WordPress blocks, REST API access, WP-CLI automation, conditional logic, file-based execution, multisite support, JavaScript minification, and external CSS file loading. The product is available on the web. Monthly plans range from $3.90 a month for one website to $29.90 a month for unlimited websites. Other options include $149 a year for Code Snippets Pro and lifetime plans starting at $137, paid once. Pro users receive personal email support; free users can seek support through Facebook and Discord.
massCode
massCode is a free, open-source, local-first desktop workspace for code snippets, Markdown notes, HTTP requests, calculations, and developer utilities. Its Code space organizes reusable snippets with folders, search, and an editor. Notes supports Markdown documents, task status and due dates, a notes graph, mindmaps, and presentation mode. The HTTP workspace handles collections, environments, scripts, tests, sequential runs, GraphQL, and WebSocket, and imports requests from OpenAPI, Postman, or Bruno. A browser clipper can save selected code, page text, and links into Code, Notes, or HTTP. Snippets and notes are plain Markdown files in a local vault that users can read, edit, move, or back up outside the app. There is no built-in cloud account or proprietary sync, though the vault folder can be synced with external services. AI connections can use provider API keys or local models; cloud API use is billed by the provider. Downloads include macOS, Windows, and Ubuntu Linux builds, with browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, and Safari.
