In their own words
CodeScene
CodeScene combines code analysis with information about team knowledge and delivery, helping engineering teams prioritize technical debt and improve code health. Its CodeHealth scores consider maintainability, cognitive load, and complexity. Team insights show how knowledge is distributed, model bus factor, and identify coordination needs; delivery views cover unplanned work, branch analysis, cost metrics, and speed. CodeScene ACE offers AI-powered refactoring, while its CodeHealth MCP Server gives coding agents CodeHealth guidance. Pull and merge request integrations support GitHub, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, and GitLab. Developers can use extensions for VS Code, IntelliJ, Visual Studio, and Cursor, or a CLI. Project integrations include Jira, Trello, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Issues, alongside a REST API. Deployment options are managed cloud or self-managed on-premises, including offline mode. The free Community Edition is for open-source projects. Standard costs €18 active author/month billed yearly; pricing counts authors who committed code in the preceding three months, once per author. The 14-day trial includes all features without upfront contract or payment.
