In their own words

CodeSkulptor3

CodeSkulptor3 is a browser-based Python interpreter created for teaching Python, especially to beginners. The interface includes an editor and a console that displays printed output and error messages. It implements a subset of Python 3 and adds the SimpleGui, SimpleMap, and SimplePlot graphical libraries. The tool is featured in Coursera’s “Fundamentals of Computing” course, and the maker credits Scott Rixner with building it. Users can save programs to cloud storage under a URL or download saved programs to a computer. Anyone with a saved program’s URL can access its associated file. Collaborative editing sessions can be created or joined, but they are temporary and deleted in about a day. Modern Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Apple Safari are listed as supported browsers. The documented Python subset excludes constructs including try-except and with statements. Programs can load external files only over HTTPS. The maker says users are anonymous and personal information is not collected. Saved files are stored indefinitely and used to provide the service and anonymous educational research.

TigerJython

TigerJython is a free Python development environment designed to teach programming. Its simple editor is aimed mainly at beginners, with teaching features including a repeat loop, Turtle graphics, and enhanced error messages. The IDE intentionally does not support projects or workspaces. Libraries cover graphics, game design, databases, and robotics, with devices including Lego EV3, Raspberry Pi, micro:bit, Calliope Mini, Callibot, and OxoCard. The downloadable IDE runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux and includes a platform-specific Java runtime, so a separate JRE is not needed. WebTigerPython provides a browser-based option without installation, with Turtle graphics and a simple debugger. The IDE can optionally send anonymous error-message feedback; its product page says comments and strings are removed, and the setting is in advanced settings. The TJ Group maintains the product and supports computer science education in schools and teacher use of programming across subjects. The maker permits private and educational use free of charge unless a product states otherwise, and provides its products as is without warranties.
