Cogni

Cogni combines study notes, AI-generated flashcards and spaced-repetition reviews. It can make editable question-and-answer or cloze cards from text, PDFs, web pages and photos of notes. Notes support headings, bold, highlights, lists and images, and cards created from a note remain linked to it. During review, learners rate cards Again, Hard, Medium or Easy; Cogni adjusts each card’s review schedule based on those ratings. Progress views show daily streaks, retention by deck, cards due tomorrow and a forecast of upcoming weeks. Cogni is available on the web and in Android and iOS apps. The mobile apps support offline review and sync reviews across web and mobile when the device reconnects. The mobile app can import Anki .apkg decks, including subdecks, cloze cards and media, but does not transfer review history. Free access includes notes, spaced repetition, device sync and Anki import, subject to a daily review limit. Cogni says it does not sell study content or personal information, use study content for third-party ads, or use notes and cards to train a Cogni model.

Nibomo

Nibomo is a flashcard study app for web, iOS, and Android. Its FSRS spaced-repetition system schedules difficult cards sooner and familiar cards later, while AI can help create cards, improve their wording, and clarify answers. Studying on mobile works offline and syncs automatically. Users can import and export cards, tags, and related media, and AI agents can connect through MCP or the Agent API; the MCP server works with Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. The hosted app is free during beta, with no credit card requirement, trial countdown, or plan-based quotas on cards, files, or total storage, though technical limits still apply. AI features and sync are included during beta, but higher AI usage may later require a provider API key or paid option. The open-source stack can be self-hosted on AWS, with infrastructure and third-party provider costs paid by the operator. Hosted sign-in uses a one-time email code rather than a password. Nibomo is built by Kirill Markin and operated by SAMO DANNI EOOD in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
