In their own words
Cohesity SiteContinuity
Cohesity SiteContinuity coordinates disaster recovery for mission-critical workloads, with recovery options ranging from an individual file or business application to a full data center. Its plan builder supports automated failover and failback, continuous data protection, asynchronous replication, non-disruptive recovery testing and restore operations. Organizations can manage physical or virtual clusters at primary and recovery sites, or choose Cohesity-managed disaster recovery that fails over to the customer’s AWS account. Listed targets include VMware Standard or above, versions 6.5 and 6.7, and Cohesity NAS Views for customer-managed deployment; the managed service lists VMware VMs and Amazon EC2 as a target. Interfaces for automation include a RESTful API, PowerShell and Python SDK. The datasheet lists AES-256 encryption in transit and at rest for both options, and anomaly detection for customer-managed deployment. Pricing is on request, with a 30-day trial listed. Cohesity states that technical support is available around the clock, with a one-hour initial response target for P1 errors.
JetStream DR
JetStream DR provides continuous data protection and disaster recovery for VMware workloads. It replicates VM data to object storage, with a stated recovery point objective of near zero, and says it can bring VMs back online within minutes using recovery clusters provisioned on demand. It captures data through VMware vSphere I/O Filters and is managed from a vCenter plug-in or the vSphere Web GUI. Protected VMs do not need installed agents or snapshots, according to the maker. Listed targets include S3-compatible storage such as AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, Cloudian, and MinIO, as well as Azure NetApp Files. Its hypervisor-level software supports on-premises SAN, NAS, vSAN, and HCI environments, with VMware-compatible recovery infrastructure. Coverage is listed for vSphere 7 and 8, with hybrid deployment, cloud backup targets, and off-site replication. JetStream DR for AVS is obtained through Azure Marketplace; on-premises installations use an OVA from JetStream support. The company describes the product as built for service providers supporting customers’ on-premises continuity needs.
