In their own words

Coloroid AI

Coloroid AI is a photo restoration app for damaged, blurry, faded, or black-and-white images. Recreate applies full restoration, Colorize adds color, and Descratch removes damage while leaving the rest of the image alone. The app detects cracks, creases, missing corners, and water stains, sharpens soft focus, and restores washed-out contrast. Its colorization gives portraits skin, clothing, and scenery colors suited to the era. Start with a library photo or photograph a print with a phone; a flatbed scan is optional. Images can also arrive through the share sheet. Compare before and after, then save, print, or share the result. The restored image is saved as a new photo, leaving the original unchanged. Coloroid AI runs on iOS and macOS, requiring iOS 17, iPadOS 17, or macOS 14 with an Apple M1 chip or later. It offers a free plan; Pro is $49.99, paid once.

QuietPix

QuietPix is a free web service offering browser-based tools for images, PDFs, video, audio, and text. Image tools handle conversion, compression, resizing, background removal, upscaling, colorization, and restoration. PDF tools merge, split, sign, compress, run OCR, and reorganize pages. Video and audio tools cover conversion, trimming, compression, GIF creation, and audio editing. Text utilities provide word counts, case conversion, password generation, JSON formatting, and hash generation. QuietPix says files stay in the browser instead of being transmitted to or stored on a server, and tools can continue after Wi-Fi is turned off once loaded. AI models download on first use and run on the device; photos are not sent to an AI service. There are no file-count or size limits, and results have no watermarks. The Free plan costs nothing and includes 92 tools, with ads supporting the service.
