In their own words
Common App
Common App helps students explore colleges, submit applications, and navigate the admissions process. It serves first-year and transfer applicants and lets students explore more than 1,100 Common App colleges. Its first-year guidance covers gathering materials, setting up an account, adding colleges, engaging supporters, reviewing requirements, planning essays, and submitting an application. Accounts can roll over from year to year, and answers in My Common Application can be saved across years. Students who complete a profile may receive non-binding direct admission offers from participating colleges before submitting an application; applying through the program to colleges offering those admissions is free. Otherwise, each college decides whether to charge an application fee and the amount, and many colleges do not charge one. Qualifying students may be eligible for a Common App fee waiver, subject to participating colleges’ policies. The nonprofit membership organization describes its focus as access, equity, and integrity in college admission. Common App is available on web, Android, and iOS. It lists integrations with CRM and SIS providers, school counseling platforms, and embedded services including SlideRoom and UStrive.
SurveyMonkey
SurveyMonkey is a platform for creating surveys, forms and quizzes, with response analytics, logic branching, custom branding and API access. Its free Basic plan allows unlimited surveys, but each survey is limited to 10 questions and responses are restricted. The platform lists 1,000 responses per month as a response limit; other listed plans include 15,000 responses per year on Advantage Annual and 40,000 on Premier Annual. Team plans provide shared assets, roles, permissions and consolidated billing, and surveys can accept payments through Stripe or PayPal. Free iOS and Android apps support survey creation and checking recent results; each user may register up to two devices at a time. Paid plans may charge ₹5.00 for each response beyond the applicable limit. Enterprise includes Zoom integration, enhanced governance and security, SSO and regional data centers. SurveyMonkey Audience is listed as reaching more than 335 million people across over 130 countries. Team Advantage is listed at ₹1,550 per user per month, starting with three users and billed annually; Team Premier is ₹3,800 on the same basis. The maker was founded in 1999 and is headquartered in San Mateo, California.
