In their own words
Comodo Internet Security
Comodo Internet Security is a Windows security suite that combines antivirus protection, a packet-filtering firewall, host intrusion prevention, and automatic isolation for unknown files. Its Auto Sandbox runs unfamiliar files in a separate environment. The firewall can block unauthorized inbound and outbound connections, manage which programs can access the internet, and hide computer ports. Secure Shopping isolates browser sessions and includes keylogger prevention, screen-capture blocking, and SSL certificate inspection; it can also run applications such as email clients, password managers, spreadsheets, and VPN clients in that environment. The product describes cloud antivirus scanning, behavior analysis, and whitelisting, alongside malicious-website filtering with custom block lists. Comodo lists a free plan and paid plans from $29.99/yr. Its guide lists Windows 10, 8, and 7, and says versions 12.0.0.6882 and later do not support Windows XP or Vista. Support resources include Comodo Support, an online help guide, and a user forum.
Endian Firewall Community
Endian Firewall Community is a free, open-source Linux firewall for home networks, small networks, home labs, and learning environments. It provides stateful protection for network resources, with firewall rules that can apply in both directions. SSL and IPsec VPN support remote access and links between locations. Email security addresses spam, phishing, and other malicious email, while antivirus covers web and email traffic. Its intrusion prevention system analyzes traffic flows for internal and external threats. Multi-WAN can support failover or simultaneous connections, and quality of service can prioritize traffic such as VoIP, web, and email. Built-in reports cover live and historical network traffic, plus daily, weekly, and monthly web usage. The Community Edition uses an open-source GPL license and costs nothing. Its web filtering allowance is 1.8 million URLs, with one anti-spam engine and one antivirus engine. Application control, advanced content security, high availability, and centralized management are unavailable. Community users do not receive professional support.
