Complementary Shaders vs Marigold Shaders

Complementary Shaders is a free shader pack for Minecraft Java Edition, offering two customizable visual styles. Unbound aims for a more realistic look; Reimagined retains more of Minecraft's visual elements. Both can be adjusted in Shader Options, and performance profiles range from Potato to Ultra. The pack adds custom effects for almost every block and is designed to avoid obstructing gameplay. The Complementary Installer can set up the shaders with the Iris shader loader, but Java is required to run that installer. As another route, users can download the shaderpack file from Modrinth and install a shader loader themselves. The installer also offers Euphoria Patches as an option. The project began as an edit of BSL Shaders in 2019, and its maker says it receives regular updates shaped by user feedback. It supports Linux, macOS and Windows, but its game compatibility is limited to Minecraft Java Edition.
