Overview

Hubl brings checks, temperatures, deliveries and allergen records into an app, with a browser dashboard for managers. Live oversight across sites, a daily audit history and exportable records connect routine logging to inspection preparation. That is more useful than a digital diary alone for operators who need to review activity as well as collect it.

Offline access is a practical advantage for kitchens with intermittent connectivity, but it has a clear boundary: Wi-Fi is needed at the start and end of each day to upload records. Businesses that cannot depend on those daily connections should consider another workflow.

Key features

Checks and temperatures

EHO-reviewed checklists, guided temperature checks and safe-range guidance give staff a structured way to record routine work. Prompts for borderline or failed readings help call attention to exceptions. Digital checklists, temperature logs, corrective actions and inspections and audits cover the core compliance cycle, while advanced reporting gives managers a way to assess records rather than simply store them.

Allergens, reporting and Orbit AI

The product catalogue supports tagging the 14 regulated allergens and sharing that information with staff and inspectors. Managers can also review wastage and export a daily audit history for EHO visits. Orbit AI answers questions from live Hubl records and can prepare temperature, delivery and wastage entries, but confirms with the user before saving; that confirmation step keeps the user in control of changes.

Records and support

Hubl says records are backed up regularly on EU servers, and cloud document storage is limited to the user's team. Its standard checklists have been reviewed by environmental health officers, including authorities in Richmond, Wandsworth and Merton. Support is available by email or phone, and users can request a demo.

Pricing

All plans are priced per site, include unlimited users, and exclude VAT. Multi-site pricing is available on request. The 14-day trial has no payment, obligation or automatic subscription, making it a low-commitment way to assess the workflow before choosing a plan. There is no free plan.

Plan	Price and terms	What it includes
Tall	£19.00 per month, billed monthly	Unlimited users and devices; no setup fee.
Grande	£32.00 per month, billed monthly	Unlimited users, checklist customisation, allergen management, reporting dashboard, document management and priority support.
Venti	£45.00 per month, billed monthly	Unlimited users, Orbit AI, food wastage log, incident log and risk assessments.
Venti Plus	£65.00 per month, billed monthly; 12-month contract	Unlimited users, personalised digital FSMS and HSMS, food safety helpline, document amendments and first annual review included.

Tall is the lowest-cost entry point for a single site that needs the core service, but it gives up the named customisation, allergen, dashboard and document tools in Grande. Grande is the step up for teams that need those management features and priority support. Venti adds AI-assisted entries and dedicated incident, wastage and risk-assessment workflows; it is the better fit when those records are part of daily operations. Venti Plus adds personalised management systems and ongoing compliance support, but the 12-month commitment makes it less suitable for businesses wanting a short-term arrangement. Unlimited users on every tier avoids per-seat limits, though the per-site price can matter for operators with many locations.

Platforms

Hubl runs on Android, iOS, macOS and the web. The mobile app supports offline use, subject to the daily Wi-Fi upload requirement; the browser dashboard provides management oversight.

Who it's for

Hubl is aimed at hospitality businesses including restaurants, hotels, bars, cafés, coffee shops and care homes. It is strongest for teams that want shared records, allergen handling and audit-oriented oversight without limiting the number of users at a site. Operators seeking a free tier, or those unable to sync daily, should compare alternatives before committing.

Pros and cons

Pros: Unlimited users per site across all plans, so access does not require buying additional seats.
Pros: Allergen management, corrective actions, advanced reporting and exportable audit history support both daily controls and inspection preparation.
Pros: Offline entry and a no-obligation 14-day trial make it possible to assess the workflow without an immediate subscription.
Cons: Offline use still requires Wi-Fi at the start and end of each day, which limits its value where connectivity is unreliable.
Cons: VAT is excluded and pricing is per site, so the monthly figure is not the full cost for multi-location operators.
Cons: Venti Plus requires a 12-month contract, while the lower tiers do not include all of the named management tools.

Alternatives

Restaurant Food Safety Software is a useful category comparison if you want to weigh more than one option.

Pick BipOrder HACCP if a free plan or an API platform matters; its free Starter tier includes menu QR reading, custom branding, staff management and AI menu import. SafePlate is another free-tier option, with its Starter plan covering one facility, HACCP checklists, temperature logs, inspection tracking and mobile access, but it is web-only. Consider BackResto if you want a no-commitment plan with all modules, unlimited users, training and setup, and 7/7 customer support; its platforms are Android, iOS and web.

ComplyFood is a paid alternative with a free trial on Android, iOS and web. Ideagen Safefood 360° is worth considering if you need broad platform coverage, including API, Linux and Windows, and are willing to request a demo for pricing. Traceo offers a free plan for one establishment and up to 50 HACCP records per month, making it a possible fit for a small operation with modest recording needs. Appticc HACCP may suit a single restaurant that can work within its Restaurante plan's one-location and five-professional limits at USD $29 per month, before local taxes. Food Safe System may be preferable when automated temperature monitoring through sensors is central; its Pro + Sensors Plan is priced per sensor.

Verdict

Hubl is a strong fit for hospitality operators who want more than basic digital logs: allergen handling, team-wide access, audit exports and management oversight are combined in one system. Its per-site pricing with unlimited users is straightforward to match to a location, and the trial carries no subscription obligation. Choose it if those workflows justify the cost; look elsewhere if you need a free plan, cannot meet the daily upload requirement, or want to avoid Venti Plus's 12-month term.
