In their own words
Conch AI Citation Generator
Conch AI Citation Generator creates bibliography citations for academic papers in APA, MLA, or Chicago style. It supports websites, books, and academic journals, with entries for APA 7th edition, MLA 9th edition, and Chicago 17th edition notes/bibliography style. The standalone generator runs in a browser, and users can copy formatted citations without signing up. If author fields are empty, the citation begins with the title. The maker says citation formatting and text calculations take place locally in the browser and source details are not stored on a server. Conch’s broader writing workspace can capture cited sources and format them in APA, MLA, Chicago, or Harvard; signed-up users receive 10 free credits daily, with each action costing 1 to 4 credits. The Chrome extension works on desktop. Conch presents its platform for student study and writing, and its terms say the site is intended for users at least 18 years old. The citation generator is free without registration. Workspace plans are listed at $12 a year, $21 a month billed quarterly, or $30 a month.
MyBib
MyBib creates formatted bibliographies, citations, and works cited for academic assignments and papers. It can build references for books, journals, websites, and videos from a title or identifier such as a URL or ISBN. The maker says it supports over 9,000 citation styles, including APA, Chicago, Harvard, and MLA. Users can arrange sources in nested folders and create in-text citations that combine sources with a page, chapter, or section locator. Bibliographies can be downloaded to Word or Google Docs, imported into Zotero or Mendeley, or exported as BibTeX and JSON. MyBib is available on the web and through free Chrome, Firefox, and Edge extensions. Its free plan works without an account, has no project or citation limit, and stores work on the user's device by default. MyBib Plus costs $2 per month, paid annually at $24 per year, and adds server storage and access across devices. MyBib says it mostly remains usable without an internet connection.
