Overview

Connect The Dots turns professional connections into a searchable relationship graph, helping users find people and companies through warm paths. It suits professionals and teams that rely on trusted introductions; its strongest case is combining network search with contact management, while its free tier is tightly capped for regular prospecting.

An individual product also organizes, scores and deduplicates a professional network, making it searchable from AI tools. The offering is aimed at individuals, sales and go-to-market teams, venture capital firms and private equity firms.

Key features

Relationship search and introductions

CTD draws on multiple network sources and scores relationships using email activity and LinkedIn data, with public career overlap contributing to some paths. It ranks potential connectors and can draft an introduction email for that person to review and send. That keeps the connector in control, but the tool prepares the route rather than ensuring an introduction will happen.

Users can also track job changes among direct connections and receive alerts when someone moves. For professionals who want to act on changes in their network, that makes the graph useful beyond one-off contact searches.

Integrations and privacy

Connections include Gmail, Outlook, LinkedIn, Salesforce and HubSpot, as well as Claude through MCP, an open API and Zapier. The mobile app for iPhone and Android includes Dottie, an AI network assistant. Calendar, WhatsApp, SMS and Apple Contacts support are marked as coming soon.

CTD says it reads email metadata by default and does not store email bodies. Optional body access supports showing requested emails and retrieving signature contact details. Users can export or delete their data, manage network sharing and mark individual contacts private. CTD states that it complies with GDPR and CCPA requirements, has SOC 2 Type II audits, and encrypts data in transit with TLS 1.2+ and at rest with AES-256.

Pricing

The Free plan is free, billed $0/mo forever. It includes 10 AI contact searches per month, up to 5 ghost emails per month, 2 lists, 5 “How do I know” summaries per month, and job-change tracking for direct connections. This is a reasonable fit for occasional searches, but the monthly quotas constrain sustained outreach and network organization.

Professional costs 20.00 USD per month, billed $20/mo. It removes the search, ghost email, list and summary limits, adds faster contact-data refreshes, and provides basic API and MCP functionality. It is the more practical choice for an individual who searches regularly; paid plans include unlimited API and MCP usage subject to standard rate limiting.

Business has custom pricing. It adds company-wide network search, CRM integration, SSO, unlimited external members, full API and MCP functionality, and dedicated CSM and Slack support. This is the team-oriented tier for organizations needing shared search and broader integrations, though its custom pricing makes costs less predictable than Professional. Professional provides only basic API and MCP functionality; Business exposes the full versions.

Platforms

CTD supports Android, iOS, web and API access. The mobile apps are for iPhone and Android, while the API and MCP options extend access to integrations and AI tools.

Who it's for

Choose CTD if finding warm routes through a professional network matters more than working from a conventional standalone contact list. It is relevant to individual professionals and relationship-driven sales, go-to-market, venture capital and private equity teams. The Free tier works for light use; regular searchers are better served by Professional, while organizations seeking company-wide visibility, SSO or full API and MCP functionality should consider Business.

Pros and cons

Pros: Relationship scoring draws on email activity and LinkedIn data, with public career overlap used for some paths, giving users several signals for finding a connector.
Pros: Ranked warm paths, draft introductions and direct-connection job-change alerts support both outreach and ongoing network maintenance.
Pros: Users can export or delete data, control network sharing and mark contacts private; CTD also describes its email metadata defaults and encryption measures.
Cons: Free limits searches, ghost emails, lists and summaries, so frequent users will likely need the $20.00 USD per month Professional plan.
Cons: Professional has basic API and MCP functionality; full access and company-wide features require Business with custom pricing.
Cons: Calendar, WhatsApp, SMS and Apple Contacts support are not current capabilities; they are marked as coming soon.

Alternatives

Polinode is worth considering for public-network analysis: its free plan includes 1 user, 5 public networks and 6 basic metrics, while its Lite plan costs 40.00 USD per month. Kumu offers a free workspace for unlimited public projects, collaborators, maps and views, making it a fit for public mapping projects. ExecAtlas is presented as an Equilar product, and Equilar describes itself as an executive intelligence provider.

Happenstance offers a free plan with usage-limited chat and unlimited connected accounts, friends and groups; its Team plan costs 24.00 USD per month. Introd may suit users focused on syncing email, contacts and calendars: its Google and Microsoft add-ons each cost 15.00 USD per month. Andsend combines a LinkedIn and email inbox with AI action suggestions and job-change signals; its Pro plan costs 49.00 EUR per month.

Draftboard offers free network mapping with 50 quality paths, then charges 0.30 USD per quality path. 4Degrees is another paid relationship-intelligence option, with pricing by request.

Verdict

Connect The Dots is a strong fit for professionals and teams that want to search a shared or individual network for warm introduction routes, then keep that network current through job-change alerts. Its combination of relationship scoring, integrations and privacy controls is the main reason to choose it. Look elsewhere if you need a free tier for regular high-volume searches, or if you need full API and MCP functionality without moving to custom-priced Business.
