Continuous Command
Continuous Command is a usage metering, rating, and mediation engine for complex consumption pricing. It ingests data from S3, Snowflake, Kafka, REST APIs, CSV files, and data lakes, and can rate that data in place without replication. Real-time rating supports time, volume, type, and location dimensions, plus price uplifts and usage pricing waterfalls. Teams can change rate cards, launch pricing models, and reprocess historical usage without an engineering sprint, according to the maker. Command tracks promotional and purchased credits, configurable limits, overdraft protection, enterprise credit pools, and automated top-ups. It also manages deposits, gift cards, revenue blocks, minimum commitments, and period-end true-ups. Rated charges can flow through APIs to Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, Sage, Snowflake, and other systems. The product is described as Salesforce native and compatible with Salesforce ARM Digital Wallets and SuiteBilling Prepayments. Continuous says it can process billions of transactions on hyperscaler infrastructure and needs neither a standalone billing system nor a duplicate product catalog. Pricing is custom, scoped to transaction volume and configuration complexity. Implementation is described as days to weeks.

Lago is an open-source billing platform that connects product usage and commercial terms with customer invoices. It supports usage-based, subscription, prepaid, and hybrid pricing, plus quotes, order forms, prepaid credits, entitlements, quotas, subscription and usage charges, and itemized invoices. Applications can connect through a REST API, official JavaScript, Python, Ruby, and Go SDKs, or signed webhooks. Listed AI integrations include OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock, Google Gemini, and Mistral; payment and finance integrations include Adyen, Stripe, NetSuite, and Xero. The Open source plan is free, licensed under AGPLv3 and self-hosted. Lago Premium is available as cloud or self-hosted deployment, including on-premises or in a VPC, but pricing is provided after contacting Lago. Lago states it is SOC 2 Type II certified and describes single sign-on, role-based access controls, and audit logs. Premium includes platform support, business-hours incident management, and implementation guidance.
