In their own words
Contract Express
Contract Express is Thomson Reuters software for assembling standardized legal documents from templates. Its web-based service guides users through questionnaires, document previews, workflows and task management, with pre-automated precedents. It can generate questionnaire forms from information in a template, while AI-assisted authoring uses natural-language processing to answer questions and offer drafting guidance. Small corporate legal departments can use it to create contracts, route approvals and collect e-signatures. Contract Express Author, an add-in for Microsoft Word 2013 and later, turns Word documents into templates; integrations also include Microsoft Excel and iSheets. The product runs on the web, Windows and macOS, and exports DOCX and PDF. A subscription includes pre-automated and best-practice templates from Practical Law. Chat is available to cloud customers on version 9.15 and above, but not in on-premises production environments. Pricing is available on request, and a free trial is listed.
LegalSifter
LegalSifter’s ReviewPro applies a company’s legal and risk positions to contracts and creates tracked-change drafts. Edits can include plain-English explanations and optional comments for the counterparty. ReviewPro Assistant can draft terms and make custom edits through a conversational interface. More than 100 standard playbooks are included, and users can build their own from templates, past redlines, or policy documents. Add-ins bring the product into Microsoft Word and Google Docs. The wider contract workflow includes a searchable repository, intake, ticketing, Kanban, approval workflows, obligation tracking, renewal alerts, AI contract review, native e-signature, and a workflow builder. LegalSifter says ReviewPro is hosted on AWS and is SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA compliant. The product is aimed at CFOs, COOs, and operations leads responsible for contracts; legal training is not required. Standard implementation and onboarding are included. The web product has paid annual plans, with listed prices ranging from $2,750 a year to $40,000 a year. A free trial runs for seven days and covers up to 20 contracts; it requires a company email and is limited to the US, Canada, and the European Union.
