In their own words
ControlShift
ControlShift is a platform for progressive organizations and campaigns to coordinate distributed events, local groups, petitions, and supporter-led campaigns. Supporters can create or attend local events from organization templates, while staff review submissions, coach hosts, track activity, and measure results. Members can find nearby groups or organize new ones, with mailing lists and directories for coordination. Petition campaigns can use distributed targets and templated content under organizational moderation and approval. Organizations can approve group leaders and give them communication, event, and campaign tools, including tactics such as petition delivery. The platform supports 15 languages, including Arabic and Hebrew, and runs through web and API access. Integrations include CRMs, Amazon Redshift, SQL databases, Segment, Facebook, Matomo, Google Analytics, Freshchat, and Customer.io. Developer tools include authenticated REST APIs, webhooks, JSONP, and bulk data. Data is stored in a selected AWS US-East or EU-Central region. Pricing is on request.
Rally Starter
Rally Starter is a web platform for nonprofits and organizers to launch advocacy campaigns, mobilize supporters and track progress. Campaigns can ask people to sign petitions, email or call decision-makers, join boycotts, take social media or other online actions, or make pledges. Rallybot, an AI assistant, can help with campaign strategy, writing and contacting Congress. The free Starter Rally plan includes campaign messaging, decision-maker targeting, a U.S. Congressional database, donation page links, unlimited supporter update emails and a campaign hosted on Rallystarter.com. Pro Rally costs $49 a month and adds campaign embeds with customizable branding, supporter-list CSV downloads, Mailchimp and Google Tag Manager integrations, and priority support. Enterprise Rally costs $345 a month and adds custom CRM integrations, dedicated marketing support, a strategy session, paid media management, onboarding and training. Pro includes a seven-day free trial, and the FAQ says canceling during the trial avoids a charge. The FAQ says there is no limit to supporter actions on a Rally. The privacy policy says supporter names and email addresses are shared with organizers and describes possible third-party sale or licensing of personal data, with an email opt-out available.
