In their own words
Converseen
Converseen is a free batch image processor for Windows, Linux, macOS, FreeBSD and other operating systems. It converts, resizes, rotates, flips and compresses images, and renames groups using progressive numbers or prefix and suffix values. Through ImageMagick, it handles more than 100 formats, including DPX, EXR, GIF, JPEG, JPEG-2000, PNG, SVG, TIFF, WebP and HEIC/HEIF. It can turn a full PDF or selected pages into images with chosen dimensions and formats, and extract images from Windows icon files. Converseen is built with open-source frameworks and libraries including Qt and ImageMagick; its source is released under GNU GPL version 3. Linux installation options include source code, AppImage, Snap, Flatpak and distribution repositories. The program does not transfer information to other networked systems. The Free plan is free. Windows and Linux users need Ghostscript configured for PDF processing, and the macOS release is beta and not currently codesigned.
PixelMod
PixelMod is an image editor that combines background removal, image upscaling, optimization, resizing, watermarking, and editable layers through its Layers Beta feature. Users can apply settings to batches of images and export the results as a ZIP. It accepts PNG, JPG/JPEG, and WEBP input. Its macOS and Windows desktop apps process images locally and can work offline after sign-in. In the web version, uploads are encrypted in transit, processed temporarily, and deleted after processing. PixelMod says submitted images are not used to train AI models. The free plan includes five web downloads per month, unlimited desktop downloads, a 0.5 MP maximum, and the Standard model. Starter costs $7 a month and provides a 16 MP maximum with Maximum Quality; Pro costs $14 a month and provides a 25 MP maximum. Desktop requirements are macOS 12 or later on Apple Silicon or Intel, or Windows 10/11 64-bit. Paid subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled through the customer portal.
