In their own words
Convoy
Convoy is a webhook gateway for sending and receiving events, with automatic retries for failed deliveries. It supports both incoming and outgoing webhooks and can ingest events from Amazon SQS, Apache Kafka, Google PubSub, RabbitMQ, and HTTP. A developer portal lets users inspect deliveries and configure or debug endpoints. Prometheus metrics and OpenTelemetry support provide observability, while separate control-plane and data-plane architecture uses PostgreSQL for event durability. Security features include HMAC signatures, static IPs, IP blacklisting, and replay attack prevention. Convoy is available through web and API access, and can be self-hosted; those deployments keep payloads, secrets, and logs in the customer’s infrastructure. Convoy states that it is SOC 2 and GDPR compliant and offers SSO, SAML, private networking, RBAC, and a 99.999% uptime SLA. The Community plan is free forever for one user and one organization. Premium costs $999 a month, and a 14-day trial is listed. Convoy is headquartered in San Francisco, California.
Dispatch
Dispatch receives webhooks, processes events, and delivers them to Discord, Slack, Telegram, or custom HTTP endpoints. It verifies incoming requests before storage, applies filters, formats payloads, and routes events to linked destinations. Filters can use header or body fields, and JSONata expressions can transform event data before formatting. Templates support Discord embeds, Slack Block Kit, and Telegram HTML with platform-specific variants. Failed deliveries can be retried with configurable exponential backoff, up to seven attempts by default. Documented source integrations include GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jira, Linear, OpenAI, Shopify, Stripe, and others; destinations also include Google Chat and Webex. Its CLI forwards webhook events through a secure tunnel to a local development server, with binaries for Linux, macOS, and Windows. Project-scoped API keys provide programmatic access. Dispatch says it encrypts destination URLs and tokens at rest and uses TLS 1.2 or higher for traffic. The cloud service has a free plan with 10,000 events per month and three days of history; paid plans start at $39/mo.
