| Fan-out | One event can be routed to multiple endpoints based on event type or payload structure. | An event can be delivered to multiple matching destinations, each with its own filter and delivery status. |
| Retries | Failed webhook deliveries can be retried automatically, including constant-time or exponential-backoff strategies. | Failed deliveries use deterministic exponential backoff, honor Retry-After for 429 responses, and are dead-lettered when the retry budget is exhausted. |
| Security | Security features include HMAC signatures, static IPs, IP blacklisting, and replay attack prevention. | When configured, an admin bearer token protects the management API, dashboard, and metrics; provider signing secrets are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. |

In their own words
Convoy
Convoy is a webhook gateway for sending and receiving events, with automatic retries for failed deliveries. It supports both incoming and outgoing webhooks and can ingest events from Amazon SQS, Apache Kafka, Google PubSub, RabbitMQ, and HTTP. A developer portal lets users inspect deliveries and configure or debug endpoints. Prometheus metrics and OpenTelemetry support provide observability, while separate control-plane and data-plane architecture uses PostgreSQL for event durability. Security features include HMAC signatures, static IPs, IP blacklisting, and replay attack prevention. Convoy is available through web and API access, and can be self-hosted; those deployments keep payloads, secrets, and logs in the customer’s infrastructure. Convoy states that it is SOC 2 and GDPR compliant and offers SSO, SAML, private networking, RBAC, and a 99.999% uptime SLA. The Community plan is free forever for one user and one organization. Premium costs $999 a month, and a 14-day trial is listed. Convoy is headquartered in San Francisco, California.
