In their own words

Cool Retro Term

Cool Retro Term is a free, open-source terminal emulator for Linux and macOS that imitates the appearance of cathode-ray tube screens. The project describes it as customizable and reasonably lightweight. A context menu exposes color, font, and visual-effect settings. Community profiles can add flicker, scanline rasterization, screen curvature, static noise, and burn-in effects, while the wiki invites users to share themes and provides JSON examples. Release notes list support for multiple tabs and windows, plus shortcuts for tab management. Cool Retro Term uses the QML port of qtermwidget, a terminal widget based on Konsole. Linux users can download an AppImage or find packages in repositories for distributions such as Ubuntu, Fedora, and Arch. macOS users can download a DMG. Build information covers Qt6 requirements, Linux Qt5 dependencies, and qmake instructions. Installation, build, theme, and widget guidance appears in the project wiki.

gitsome

gitsome is a free Git and GitHub command-line interface intended to make Git and shell work easier. It includes 29 GitHub-integrated commands that work across shells. Its optional shell adds autocomplete and interactive help for Git commands, options, branches, tags, Git-Extras, and GitHub integration commands. It can also suggest shell commands, files, directories, environment variables, man pages, and Python. Fish-style suggestions and a Python REPL through xonsh are available, alongside command history and customizable ANSI highlighting. gitsome integrates with GitHub and GitHub Enterprise and can be used with Git-Extras and hub commands. It is distributed through PyPI for pip3 installation and can also run in Docker. The listed operating systems are macOS, Linux, Unix, and Windows. GitHub integration may require account credentials, two-factor authentication, a personal access token, or other connection details. The README lists Python 3.4 through 3.7 as supported and says xonsh does not support Python 2.x. On Windows, gh user and gh me display text-only avatars. PyPI lists version 0.8.4, uploaded April 7, 2019, as the latest release.
