Overview

Suggested links can be reviewed and approved before insertion, giving editors control over changes. Automatic linking, orphan-page detection and bulk link editing add options for maintaining links across a site. That breadth is useful for publishers managing substantial content, though the free version offers a narrower workflow than Premium.

Key features

Suggestions and content support

Suggestions can draw on Google Search Console data and keywords from Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All In One SEO and SEOPress. That is a practical fit for sites already using those sources, but less useful to teams whose keyword workflows rely on other tools. Supported editors and builders include Classic Editor, Gutenberg, Beaver Builder, Cornerstone, Elementor and Divi. Link Whisper can also process Advanced Custom Fields content and can be configured to process custom metafield-based content.

Reports and cross-site links

Premium reports cover link statistics, domain linking statistics, clicks and broken links, making the paid product more useful for monitoring link health than the free plugin. Sites under the same license can generate outbound suggestions to one another; inbound cross-site suggestions are not supported, which limits the feature for publishers seeking a two-way network of recommendations.

Privacy and AI

The maker says the Premium plugin does not send site content or personally identifiable information to its servers; license checks send the license key, site URL and subscription level. For AI processing, only selected post content is sent to OpenAI, while usernames, emails, WooCommerce orders and submitted forms are excluded. Click tracking can store visitor IP addresses and site IDs on the customer's site. Collection can be disabled and stored data deleted, but sites using tracking should account for that data handling.

Pricing

Link Whisper is freemium, with a free Premium trial. The free plugin costs 0.00 USD per free and supports manual insertion of outbound link suggestions. It is a way to start without paying, but lacks the Premium reports.

Starter: 10.00 USD per month, billed $119/year, for 1 WordPress site and 2,000 AI Credits. This suits a single-site operator who wants a paid entry plan.
Growth: 5.00 USD per month, billed $197/year; $15/month total for all 3 sites. It includes 3,000 AI Credits, Premium Support and a 1:1 call with the team, for owners managing up to three sites.
Pro: 2.00 USD per month, billed $297/year; $20/month total for all 10 sites. With 10 sites, 5,000 AI Credits, Premium Support and a 1:1 call, it fits larger portfolios; its quoted per-month price is lower, but the annual bill is higher than Growth's.
Agency: 1.00 USD per month, billed $497/year; $50/month total for all 50 sites. Its 50-site allowance, 10,000 AI Credits, Premium Support and 1:1 call target agencies, with a substantially higher annual commitment.

The site allowances and annual totals matter more than the displayed monthly figures when comparing plans. Growth, Pro and Agency include Premium Support and a team call; Starter's stated inclusions are one site and 2,000 AI Credits.

Platforms

Link Whisper is described as a WordPress plugin and Shopify app, with self-hosted and web platform support. Its listed platform also includes WordPress.

Who it's for

Link Whisper is strongest for WordPress publishers who want reviewable suggestions, keyword context from established SEO tools and Premium link reporting. Multi-site operators may value the same-license outbound suggestions and scaled site allowances. It is a weaker fit for teams needing inbound cross-site recommendations, or for users who want the full reporting suite without a paid plan.

Pros and cons

Pro: Suggestions can use Google Search Console and four named SEO tools, which connects link decisions to familiar keyword sources.
Pro: Support for major editors and builders, Advanced Custom Fields and configurable metafields can cover content beyond standard editor fields.
Pro: Premium combines link, domain, click and broken-link reports with support and a team call on Growth and above.
Con: The free plugin is limited to manual outbound suggestion insertion, leaving reporting to paid plans.
Con: Cross-site suggestions run outbound only among sites on the same license, not inbound.
Con: Click tracking may store visitor IP addresses and site IDs, so privacy-conscious operators need to decide whether to disable it.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison, browse Internal Linking Tools. LinkBoss is another freemium web option, with a free plan offering 50 signup credits for one site. Linkbot may suit readers who want a free diagnostics option for one website property and up to 1,000 URLs, without automated linking or ongoing sync. InterLinks offers a free demo with one link and blog, page, product and collection linking, with a Professional plan at 19.00 USD per month or $180/year. redCacti has a free one-site plan for up to 1,000 pages, but limits results to 30 and excludes automated crawls, article analysis, exports, suggestions and health tracking. Magic Rinku uses credits: its free plan starts with 100 and adds 5 monthly, while 200 credits per month costs 9.00 USD per month. Relinka is a self-hosted WordPress alternative with a free plugin requiring no account or API key; its Pro plan is 59.00 USD per year for one site. Uix Page Builder is a free WordPress page builder. Interlink is a free WordPress plugin with no signup requirement, for WordPress 5.5+ and PHP 7.4+.

Verdict

Choose Link Whisper if you publish on WordPress and want reviewable internal-link suggestions, SEO keyword context and Premium reporting across supported editors. Its standout case is the combination of those tools with multi-site outbound suggestions and substantial site allowances. Look elsewhere if inbound cross-site recommendations are essential or if manual suggestions without paid reports are not enough.
