CoreFiling Seahorse vs SmartCon ESEF Reporting

CoreFiling Seahorse is browser-based SaaS for creating and converting XBRL, iXBRL, and XML regulatory filings. It converts annual reports from PDF, Word, Excel, or InDesign into XHTML while preserving visual design; EPUB import is available for InDesign users. Completed financial reports can be prepared as Inline XBRL, including ESEF and UKSEF reports and UK HMRC tax returns. Machine-learning suggestions identify tags for report lines and give confidence scores for review. Seahorse can tag financial tables in one pass, handle block and nested-block tagging for notes, and check filings against ESMA conformance rules and the ESEF filing manual, showing errors and warnings during work. A roll-over feature carries prior-year tagging decisions into later reports. Other uses include Country-by-Country Reporting templates and conversion, plus selected reporting from CSV and specially formatted Excel inputs. CoreFiling says licences, onboarding, and support come through certified providers in Europe and the UK. The cloud service runs in a browser without installation and exposes tagging and validation through APIs.
