In their own words

CourseDeck

CourseDeck is a web-based scheduling and registration workspace for studios and learning programs. It supports visual weekly and term-based schedules with room and teacher details, while class pages can display schedules, ages, availability, trial options, and registration information. Pages can be shared through Google, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, email, or a website. The workspace indicates which classes are full or nearly full and tracks waitlist interest for follow-up. Its intended users include dance studios, tutoring programs, music schools, fitness studios, art schools, language schools, after-class programs, and learning academies. CourseDeck describes itself as a business-to-business SaaS platform. The free Starter plan allows 25 active students, one location, and one admin; paid plans start at $39/mo. Listed security measures include row-level database security, TLS 1.2 or higher in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, role-based access, monitoring, and audit logging. Primary data hosting and processing occur in the United States unless otherwise agreed in writing. Paddle handles payments as merchant of record, and CourseDeck says it does not store or process card information.

OpenEduCat

OpenEduCat is a modular education platform for institutions, available through cloud hosting or on-premise deployment. Institutions can select modules and add more as needed, with no per-student fees. Its systems connect student information with admissions, fees, library, hostel, and other institutional functions; the SIS supports real-time collaboration around student data. Community Edition supports standards and sign-on options including SCORM, xAPI, LTI 1.3, SAML, Shibboleth, OAuth2, Azure AD, and Google Workspace. The platform also lists assessments, certificates, API access, and Android and iOS apps. Its Free Edition has no learner cap or time limit, although capacity depends on hardware. The Free Edition uses the LGPL-3.0 license, with source code public on GitHub; institutions own their data and can self-host without student limits or license call-home. Self-hosting can use Linux, Python 3.10+, and PostgreSQL 14+. A 15-day trial is offered without a credit card. The listed Core plan is $489 a year, and the site lists a No Refund Policy.
